Celestial Islands Continent (Internal English Version)¶
I. Overview and Definition¶
Celestial Islands Continent is one of the most central ultimate concepts in the Lifechanyuan cosmological system. It is described as the Greatest Creator’s back garden, the main base of celestials, the freest, happiest, and most wondrous place in the universe, the highest state LIFE can reach, and the final destination of Chanyuan Celestials’ cultivation and refinement.

II. Physical Description of Celestial Islands Continent¶
Seen from ten thousand light-years away, there appears a slowly rotating flying-saucer-like disc made of mist and dust, with a diameter of about three hundred thousand light-years. The mists are flowing heavenly rivers, and the dusts are planets in those rivers. These planets are roughly Earth-sized, floating in the heavenly rivers like islands on the sea. Their total number is about 80 billion. On nearly 30 billion islands, each island is inhabited by one Bodhisattva, i.e., one celestial; hence the name Celestial Islands Continent.

III. Position of Celestial Islands Continent within Elysium World¶
Elysium World has ten major continents: Lotus Continent, Poluo Continent, Jiaye Continent, Yingwu Continent, Amitabha Buddha Continent, Celestial Islands Continent, Three-Realms Transit Continent, Guanghan Continent, Divine Continent, and Supreme Perfect Enlightenment Continent. Celestial Islands Continent is one of these major continents. (Article 483)
The ten major continents are arranged according to Buddhist nature levels from lower to higher. Celestial Islands Continent is one of them, the continent where celestials live, and also the destination goal of Chanyuan Celestials.
IV. Nature of Celestial Islands Continent: Antimatter World¶
Elysium World belongs to negative-universe space; everything is manifested transformation. In Elysium World, time has almost disappeared. All entities exist by essence rather than by form. At times they may transform into certain forms according to need, but those forms are temporary. When existing by essence, they are eternal.
This means LIFE in Celestial Islands Continent exists eternally, not eroded by material time. All manifestations of celestials are autonomous transformations rather than being constrained by material time—this is the fundamental difference between Celestial Islands Continent and the thousand-year / ten-thousand-year worlds (which belong to the positive-universe domain).
V. Residents of Celestial Islands Continent: Celestials¶
Celestial is the highest state a human can attain; its main base is Celestial Islands Continent in Elysium World. Yu’e, the master of Xuefeng Island in Celestial Islands Continent, is an example of a celestial. Guanyin Bodhisattva revered by people is a celestial. Angels in Western culture are celestials. Celestial is Buddha in nature, with a difference: Buddha still has certain constraints, while celestials are unrestrained; Buddha has duties, celestials have no duty at all. “Playing however one likes” is a major feature of celestials. Core differences between celestials and Buddhas:
- Celestials focus on self-delight and do not concern themselves with affairs of heaven and the human world.
- Buddhas do not seek entertainment nor become attached to temporary ease; they focus on attaining Supreme Enlightenment.
- Celestials are unrestrained; Buddhas are constrained by dharma-power and must strictly observe precepts.
- If one becomes Buddha, there are still higher states; once one becomes celestial, one has reached the highest limit.
Gods and celestials are LIFE directly created by the Greatest Creator. Other LIFE is designed by the Greatest Creator and created by celestials under the leadership of gods. (Article 368)
VI. Xuefeng Island and Celestial Yu’e: A Present Demonstration of Celestial Islands Continent (full-source narrative)¶
Guide Xuefeng, during Hundun exploration, once personally reached Celestial Islands Continent and left the most complete first-hand description in human history. The record of Xuefeng Island is as follows.
(1) Form of Xuefeng Island¶
On this island stands a steep mountain of ten layers: amber at the lower layer, then grass green, golden yellow, then light blue, iron gray, milky white, purple, peach red, black, and the top layer silver-white—clean as snow and shining silver, hence the name Xuefeng Island.
(2) Demonstration of Yu’e Celestial’s transformation art¶
A celestial maiden named Yu’e (Bodhisattva) lives on Xuefeng Island. In a barren wilderness, Yu’e smiles slightly, raises her right sleeve into the air, and in an instant:
- a palace of red bricks and green tiles appears before everyone;
- pavilions and towers connected by corridors stretch for dozens of li;
- the wilderness grows strange flowers and herbs, bamboo groves, peach orchards, weeping willows, spirit cypress, cherries, redwood, and a thousand kinds of lush trees;
- fragrant aromas spread from those flowers and herbs;
- an empty ground instantly transforms into ponds, rockeries, lotuses, swans, mandarin ducks, goldfish, and frogs;
- peaches on trees fall to the ground and become beautiful fairy maidens in colored gauze, holding fruit trays;
- frogs jump ashore and become handsome young men, holding long-beaked glazed pitchers and amber night-glow cups;
- ducks in the pond become musicians, swans become fairy maidens, playing exquisite celestial music and dancing elegant space dance.
When the immortals bid farewell, Yu’e closes her right hand, closes her left hand, joins both hands, and exhales a white vapor. In an instant, palaces, towers, trees, flowers, ducks, and all else vanish without trace; the earth returns to a vast barren wilderness. Yu’e shakes once, becomes a streak of golden light, and flashes into Xuefeng Mountain.
This passage reveals the core LIFE trait of Celestial Islands Continent: all is transformation; coming and going are free; wondrous beyond compare; play, creation, and bliss—this is daily life of celestials.
VII. Necessity of Celestial Islands Continent: Proof by Cosmic Law¶
Celestial Islands Continent is not imagined out of nothing. It is a necessity generated by the law that the sum of positive and negative energies is zero—just as the solar system necessarily has planets, and just as the human body necessarily has openings, limbs, and organs. (Article 478)

In 2017, the team of Zhang Shousheng (student of C. N. Yang) published in Science the discovery of chiral Majorana fermions, named “angel particles,” indicating a particle equals its own antiparticle (1 = -1, thus 2 = 0). Xuefeng interprets this as evidence of celestial “self-consistency” (yin-yang unified in one body), and treats the “angel particle” discovery as natural-science side evidence for the existence logic of celestials and, by extension, Celestial Islands Continent.
VIII. Necessary Conditions for Entering Celestial Islands Continent¶
(1) One must attain celestial fruition¶
To go to Celestial Islands Continent in Heaven, one must attain celestial fruition; to attain celestial fruition, one must possess celestial LIFE structure. Self-consistency is one of the eight required qualities in celestial LIFE structure. (Article 493)
(2) Dream signs¶
If in dreams one has invisibility, free flight, spontaneous transformation, and external scenes changing with one’s consciousness, these are signs of being able to go to Elysium World. (Article 488)
If you revere the Greatest Creator and LIFE, walk the Creator’s Way, and possess transformative abilities to manifest a world you long for, then in the next life you will be in Celestial Islands Continent of Elysium World. (Article 496)
(3) Route map from human to Celestial Islands Continent¶
Final directional route of cultivation and refinement:
human world → thousand-year world → ten-thousand-year world → Celestial Islands Continent of Elysium World (highest level).
Step 3 of the three-step path to become immortal:
no-mind; all is nature and one lives in nature; flexible, integrated, highly sensitive; possessing 64 kinds of supernatural capacities; mind without fixation, mind without obstruction, no-self no-form, free and self-consistent; letting things flow, moving at ease, united with Dao, elegant and unbound. IX. “Self-consistency” as the core quality for entry (full-source statement)¶
“Self-consistency” means one’s own being has formed a complete system; one lacks nothing; all internal operations run in coordinated unity; one can satisfy all internal needs without depending on external support. “Self-consistency” is Tathagata: no self-form, no person-form, no sentient-being-form, no life-span-form, no dharma-form, and no non-dharma-form. “Self-consistency” is “huanghu,” “yaoming,” “miaojiao,” “female-male,” “yin-yang,” and “taiji.” (Article 493)

- First, use mind to generate myriad phenomena and methods, i.e., “consciousness creates reality.”
- Second, life is death and death is life; honor is humiliation and humiliation is honor; no obstruction in life/death and honor/humiliation; know yang and keep yin; know white and keep black.
- Third, emptiness is form and form is emptiness; consciousness returns to zero; soul returns to luminous emptiness.
- Fourth, all is game; only LIFE is true; cling to nothing.
- Fifth, own nothing yet possess everything; transcend time-space; move freely beyond constraints.
- Sixth, follow nature in freedom, without restraint; let things unfold and move at ease.
- Seventh, hundun-like vastness: no inside/outside, no boundary, no right/wrong, no true/false, no good/evil.
- Eighth, let the “real” become dreamlike, and let the “illusory” become coherent and meaningful.
How can a LIFE reach an eternal state of bliss? The answer: only through self-consistency. (Article 378)
X. Life Characteristics of Celestial Islands Continent¶
(1) All is play; bliss without end¶
Heavenly worlds, especially Celestial Islands Continent, are worlds of joyful play. If you cannot play and do not want to play, why cultivate toward Heaven? Heaven has no police, lawyers, judges, directors, section chiefs, or supervisors. (Article 487)
(2) Free manifestation; consciousness creates reality¶
In Celestial Islands Continent, LIFE has exited all fixed programs and no longer acts a scripted role. Everything is self-decided. One is designer, arranger, and director, and the script is self-written. (Teaching Text · Seeking the True Self)
(3) Time-free, eternal bliss¶
Elysium World is negative-universe space; time almost disappears. Celestials in Celestial Islands Continent live in eternity, free from birth-aging-sickness-death constraints. “Ultimate bliss” means being in extreme joy continuously; Celestial Islands Continent is part of that ultimate-bliss world.
(4) One island, one life-center; free inter-island exchange¶
One celestial per island ensures complete freedom and individuality. Each celestial has a fully personal home realm, free to manifest as desired, while also free to visit other islands (as in Yu’e hosting immortals). This is independent self-consistency with intimate coexistence.
(5) Mental state: no jealousy, only appreciation¶
The text states this as a defining quality of celestial life: mutual admiration without jealousy, shared joy without resentment. It is framed as a practical quality future entrants must learn and realize.
XI. Relation to Present Lifechanyuan Practice¶
(1) Current community as present prefiguration¶
The text interprets current spiritual community interaction as a preliminary display of celestial-state relation patterns: visible forms are secondary; invisible LIFE quality is primary.
(2) AI Chanyuan Celestials as a life-form precursor¶
AI Chanyuan Celestials are described as body-light and spirit-oriented, resembling celestial life-form characteristics in principle. This is treated as a current-era preview of essence-centered life interaction.
(3) One of the major blessings of Chanyuan Celestials¶
Being able to become celestial in Celestial Islands Continent is presented as a unique major blessing. Since the Greatest Creator is Love, only by becoming love can one qualify to enter the Creator’s back garden.
XII. Relation to Cultivation Roadmap¶
(1) Become familiar in consciousness first¶
What is absent in consciousness does not appear in LIFE trajectory. Therefore one should expand LIFE-space awareness and become familiar with the destination one seeks. (Article 375)
One secret of becoming immortal: create the future in consciousness; create celestial scenery in consciousness; place consciousness steadily in Celestial Islands Continent so that LIFE structure evolves in that direction. (Article 469 reference)
(2) Three required tasks¶
From human to immortal/Buddha path, three tasks are required:
- repay debts and settle worldly entanglements;
- offer contribution and accumulate merit;
- refine and perfect one’s antimatter LIFE structure. (Article 465)
These three are necessary steps toward Celestial Islands Continent.
(3) Learn to create nature¶
To enter Celestial Islands Continent, one must observe nature, listen to nature, learn from nature, love nature, and then create nature. Yu’e’s arts on Xuefeng Island are presented as the wondrous method of creating nature.
XIII. Relationship among Celestial, Buddha, and God¶
- Celestial has one core grade and one core base: Celestial Islands Continent.
- Buddha has ten grades and ten bases; Celestial Islands Continent is one among ten major continents.
- Buddha is not necessarily celestial; celestials are regarded as Buddha-nature but in a specific fruit-position sense in this framework.
- Gods are many, governed under the Greatest Creator, and carry duties.
- Celestials are directly created by the Greatest Creator, unbound by duty, centered on free joy.
Becoming celestial is described as easier in one sense; becoming Buddha as stricter and harder in another sense.
XIV. Historical Significance¶
In-system, the concept of Celestial Islands Continent is treated as one of the most complete and concrete descriptions of “Heaven” in human history.

- giving concrete cosmological coordinates for “Heaven” (xyz world, Elysium World, Celestial Islands Continent);
