Any structure is a product of consciousness; whatever kind of consciousness one has, one will have the corresponding structure. V. The Conservation and Non-Conservation of Energy

(I) Macroscopic Conservation

The law of energy conservation: the total energy of the universe is unchanged, maintaining zero state. From the macroscopic perspective, energy is conserved β€” it does not increase or decrease; it can only transform from one energy form into another. For example, money: when we deposit it in the bank, it possesses potential energy; when we withdraw it and purchase something, it becomes kinetic energy. Power is also a kind of energy. The transformation of material energy requires time β€” growing grain takes two to three seasons; working a job requires a day, a week, a month. VII. Energy and LIFE

(I) The Process of LIFE Is the Process of Contending for Energy

The universe is an energy mass available for LIFE's use. Structure naturally attracts energy; different structures absorb different energies. The process of LIFE is the process of contending for energy. Whoever obtains more energy will grow vigorously; whoever obtains less energy, their LIFE will be fragile and easily cut short. All human contradictions and conflicts originate in the contention for energy. The quarrels between husband and wife are also, in essence, a contention for energy. (Article 239)

(II) Energy Maintains LIFE's State but Does Not Change LIFE's Quality

Energy can maintain LIFE's state, can give LIFE vigorous vitality, can cause LIFE to manifest in its most flourishing state, and can promote LIFE's reproduction and continuation β€” but energy will not cause LIFE to undergo a qualitative change. For example, a cabbage: when it absorbs sufficient energy, it grows well β€” the leaves are fat and the juice is plentiful β€” but no matter how much energy it absorbs, it is still a cabbage; it cannot become a tomato. (III) LIFE Needs Three Kinds of Energy

The primary energy needed in human life is material energy β€” in a commodity society, material energy is concentrated in money and currency. The secondary energy needed is spiritual energy β€” obtained through setting great ideals, absorbing the wisdom of sages, and befriending kindred spirits. The main energy that LIFE needs is heart-mind energy β€” LIFE is a kind of antimatter structure with spirituality; money and currency are worth nothing to LIFE. LIFE's growth and continuation depend on heart-mind energy, which comes from the antimatter realm.

Essence (jΔ«ng) and vitality (shΓ©n) are energies second only to the spirit. The spirit is not consciousness; the spirit is the energy that consciousness needs. Without the spirit, consciousness is dead; with the spirit, consciousness is alive. Therefore, the higher the spirituality, the more animated the consciousness, and the more powerful the vital force it possesses. Party rivalries; religious suppression and persecution of heretics; ethnic bids for independence; family disputes; spousal quarrels; lovers competing in jealousy; colleagues, coworkers, and classmates belittling and backstabbing each other β€” all of these are also contentions for energy.

Everything played out on the battlefield, in the marketplace, in the corridors of power, and in the realm of romantic love is a contention for energy β€” contention for material energy, spiritual energy, and heart-mind energy. Wars contend mainly for material energy; quarrels contend mainly for spiritual energy; religious mutual suppression contends mainly for heart-mind energy. For peaceful coexistence β€” between people and nature, and between people and people β€” one must give up the effort to control the other. Nations, religions, political parties, and groups must disappear. For a husband and wife to be happy, they must give up control and possession of the other. X. Absorbing and Defending Against Energy

(I) How to Absorb Positive Energy

Through music β€” music is a kind of powerful positive energy that can directly adjust LIFE's antimatter structure. Through mind-image meditation β€” consciousness can generate environments; through mind-imaging, meditation, and similar methods, one creates and enters an environment of brilliant natural beauty, absorbing the essence of the sun and moon and the spiritual energy of heaven and earth. Through reading and absorbing the collected writings β€” absorbing energy and information from the Greatest Creator. Through entering the Second Home β€” borrowing the energy of the collective life to rapidly attain the Dao, transcend the cycle of birth and death, and proceed to Heaven. The energy of food is related to the mindset of the one eating it. Gratitude is the secret to absorbing the energy of food to the maximum degree. (Article 258)

The essence of the sun and moon, the spiritual energy of heaven and earth, are refined energies β€” inexhaustible and inextinguishable. "Harsh terrain and poor water produce cunning villagers; green mountains and clear water produce talented people" β€” this is because the spiritual energy of heaven and earth absorbed is different. (II) How to Defend Against Negative Energy

Information and phenomena of falsehood, evil, and ugliness bring negative energy to people. Filthy, chaotic, and degraded environments add negative energy to people. People who are full of complaint and constantly blame others and their environment bring negative energy. Disharmonious societies and communities bring negative energy. Noise; essays written by psychedelic-thinking individuals; films and images full of horror, violence, and murder β€” all bring negative energy. Absorbing too much negative energy leads to the decline of LIFE's quality.
