Advanced Cultivation (Academic Version)

I. Position within the Cultivation System

The Lifechanyuan cultivation and practice system is organized around a three-tier core framework:

Tier Name Structure Metaphor Core Focus
First Elementary Cultivation 51 behavioral norms Spinning the cocoon Cleansing thought patterns, regulating conduct, establishing spiritual foundation
Second Intermediate Cultivation 11 aspects Nurturing within Revering the Greatest Creator, awakening to Dao, recognizing Buddha-nature, transcending the mundane
Third Advanced Cultivation No fixed prescriptions Breaking free Breaking through form, awakening Buddha-nature, creating the Celestial LIFE structure

The three tiers follow a strict logical progression: the norms of Elementary Cultivation form the "cocoon" — simultaneously protecting and confining the practitioner. Intermediate Cultivation nurtures new LIFE within the cocoon. Advanced Cultivation must shatter it: "All forms are cocoons. At the beginning of learning, the cocoon protects; once learning is complete, one must break through the form." II. Threshold and Entry Point: Forgetting Self and World

Forgetting self and world is the highest level of Intermediate Cultivation and the lowest level of Advanced Cultivation.

Forgetting self and world serves as a transition threshold with dual attributes: as the apex of Intermediate Cultivation, it marks the initial dissolution of human nature's grip; as the starting point of Advanced Cultivation, it signals that the practitioner has entered a state of LIFE in which antimatter consciousness predominates, providing the foundation from which Celestial consciousness can emerge.

III. The Core Principle: Breaking Through Form

The fundamental logic of Advanced Cultivation is a systematic transcendence of all fixed forms:

  • The 51 norms of Elementary Cultivation: to be released entirely at the Advanced Cultivation stage
  • The 11 guidelines of Intermediate Cultivation: equally to be transcended — no clinging permitted
  • All religious precepts and moral codes: may become obstacles at the Advanced Cultivation stage

This is not a license for arbitrary conduct. Rather, from the higher perspective of the Dao — the operating law of the universe — all forms are provisional. Those who cling to forms have not yet seen the Dao; those who have truly seen the Dao are naturally free of attachment to forms.

IV. The System of Advanced Practice Methods

Advanced Cultivation prescribes no uniform numbered code. Instead, multiple specific methods guide practitioners in elevating consciousness toward the level of Celestial Beings. Methods documented in the Lifechanyuan writings include:

Method Source Key Principle

V. The Consciousness–Structure–Environment Mechanism

The deepest operating mechanism of Advanced Cultivation is the dynamic interplay of consciousness, LIFE structure, and living environment:

When consciousness changes, the LIFE structure changes accordingly. When we completely possess the consciousness of a Celestial Being, we accomplish the LIFE structure of a Celestial Being. When we have fully accomplished the LIFE structure of a Celestial Being, we will unquestionably live in the living environment of a Celestial Being.

This mechanism reveals the essence of Advanced Cultivation: not the accumulation of external conduct, but a qualitative transformation of LIFE's internal structure through the systematic elevation of consciousness — enabling natural migration into higher LIFE spaces (the Thousand-year World, Ten-thousand-year World, and Elysium World).

VI. Relationship with the Negative Universe

To enter the negative universe, one must understand antimatter. Without any understanding of antimatter, a person cannot enter Advanced Cultivation. Without passing through Advanced Cultivation, it is difficult to enter the higher LIFE spaces of the negative universe.

Advanced Cultivation is intimately connected to the recognition of antimatter. Science addresses only the material realm (dimensions 1–18); the antimatter realm of dimensions 19–36 is the true operational domain of Advanced Cultivation — consciousness, the spiritual body, and the Celestial LIFE structure all belong to this domain.

VII. Relationship with Awakening to Buddha-Nature

To awaken to Buddha-nature requires working at the level of one's fundamental nature. This is precisely what Advanced Practice in Lifechanyuan is for.

Buddha-nature — self-nature, Tathagata-nature — is the original spiritual nature that LIFE carried from higher LIFE spaces into the human realm. The essence of Advanced Cultivation is stripping away the accumulated layers of human nature to recover this primordial nature. Awakening to Buddha-nature and breaking through form are two sides of the same coin: breaking through form is the outward action; awakening to Buddha-nature is the inward destination.
