Celestial Beings, Heavenly Celestials, and Buddhas¶
In the Lifechanyuan system, celestial beings (xiān) and buddhas (fó) represent the two highest states of LIFE that human cultivation can reach — both dwelling in the Elysium World, both rooted in the same foundation: nature (性, xìng). Celestial beings — especially heavenly celestial beings — embody absolute freedom and joy, the freest and happiest LIFE in the entire universe, bearing no responsibilities whatsoever. Buddhas embody supreme awakening and wisdom, the most wise LIFE in the universe, strictly self-disciplined and bearing cosmic responsibilities when necessary. Celestial beings are classified into five tiers; buddhas into ten levels. Becoming a heavenly celestial is easier; becoming a buddha is harder.
