In Lifechanyuan terminology, LIFE (capitalized) refers to the ontological essence of existence — the soul/antimatter structure that persists across incarnations — while life (lowercase) refers to the experiential stage of human existence in this world.

III. The Sixteen Levels of LIFE: Complete System¶

The basic characteristics of human immortals are: they have a physical body, but their consciousness differs from ordinary people. They know the structure of the universe; know the 36-dimensional space; know the origins of the universe, LIFE, and humanity; know the mechanism of karmic transformation; know the laws of LIFE's reincarnation. They are enlightened sages — people who have developed perfect humanity. They have no private property; they do not participate in any form of confrontation or competition. In everything, they follow conditions naturally, are content wherever they are, act spontaneously, and move according to their nature — they live according to perfect human spirituality. Human immortals already clearly know where the next station of their LIFE will be, so they have no fear whatsoever of death — one can say they have escaped the bondage of death. The place where human immortals concentrate is the Thousand-Year World.
The basic characteristics of ghost immortals are: their physical body has died, but their consciousness still lingers in the human world. They are generally formed from extremely clever people who were over-eager for success.
Buddhas are divided into ten major categories according to the level of Buddha-nature. Those living on the Supreme Enlightenment Continent belong to the highest-vehicle Buddhas; next are Buddhas living on the Divine Continent, the Guanghan Continent, the Three-Realm Transit Continent, the Celestial Islands Continent, the Amitābha Buddha Continent, the Yingwu Continent, the Kāśyapa Continent, the Borneo Continent, and the Lotus Continent. The Buddhas of the Lotus Continent are the lowest-vehicle Buddhas. There is no true Buddha in the human world — there is only the Tathāgata nature within each person. Once someone cultivates their Tathāgata nature, they will immediately pass into nirvāṇa; LIFE will reach the elementary level of Buddha — the Lotus Continent — in an instant.
Level 4: Demons (Mo) — manifestations of Buddhas; expressions of Buddhas temporarily falling into extremes during their cultivation. The power of demons is higher than Buddhas and can easily approach the level of divine beings. Therefore, once it is found that demons exist in large numbers, God personally steps in and constrains them within the Yin-Pole Black Hole.

The levels of LIFE are classified primarily according to the degree of spirituality possessed by the LIFE form. The higher the level of LIFE, the greater the freedom, the higher the quality of living, the better the living conditions. The lower the level of LIFE, the lesser the freedom, the lower the quality of living, the worse the living conditions.
The path of LIFE is very clear. From the perspective of space: people in the human world should strive toward the Thousand-Year World; human immortals in the Thousand-Year World should strive toward the Ten-Thousand-Year World; terrestrial immortals in the Ten-Thousand-Year World should strive toward the free and unconstrained divine immortals; divine immortals who regard the four seas as home should strive toward the Elysium World to become celestial immortals. Reaching the Elysium World is reaching the pinnacle of LIFE. Humans cannot become divine beings, much less can they become God.
Everything is this clear, plain, and simple.
IV. The Route Map to the Higher LIFE Spaces¶
(i) Eight Conditions for Going to the Thousand-Year World¶

To go to the Thousand-Year World of the Heavenly Kingdom, we must achieve the following eight points: (1) Revere God, firmly believe in God, and always feel gratitude toward God; (2) Revere LIFE, revere nature; (3) Have no jealousy, resentment, contentious mind, greed, attachment, selfishness, or blaming of others; (4) Not restrict or hinder others' happiness and freedom for any reason or excuse; (5) Be kind — kind in heart, kind in appearance, kind in speech, kind in action; (6) Be honest — be realistic, speak truthfully, do not deceive, do not lie; (7) Be diligent — not lazy, keep your living environment and surroundings clean, tidy, beautiful, and harmonious; (8) Keep faith — keep your word, honour promises, honour agreements.

To go to the Celestial Islands Continent of the Heavenly Kingdom, one must attain the fruition of celestial immortalhood. To attain it, one must possess the LIFE structure of a celestial immortal. "Self-coherence" means that one has formed a complete system within oneself — lacking nothing, with everything internally operating in a highly coordinated and consistent manner, able to satisfy all one's own needs without relying on anything external.

Once all debts are repaid, sufficient merit is accumulated, and qualities are excellent, you can head for heaven in the next life. If you frequently fly freely in dreams without sexual contact yet are always in a state of delight — in the next life you will go to the heavenly Ten-Thousand-Year World. V. LIFE Structure Determines the Space One Inhabits¶

Whatever kind of LIFE structure one has, that is the kind of space one lives in. Animals rush about on the ground; birds soar in the sky; bees weave through flower beds; flies shuttle through rubbish heaps; ordinary worldly people bustle in families and private-ownership society; sages roam freely in public-ownership states; immortals are at leisure in non-ownership environments; celestial immortals do as they please in their own worlds.

VI. Two Mountains to Cross: The Obstacles to Reaching Higher LIFE Spaces¶

To reach heaven, one must cross two mountains. One mountain is the programmes created by humanity; the other is "the Egypt of the heart." The programmes created by humanity include: family, ethnicity, nation, religion, political party, the existing human social order and way of life. To reach heaven, one must walk out of these programmes; if one cannot walk out of these programmes, one cannot reach the Heavenly Kingdom. The Egypt of the heart includes: jealousy, comparison, blame, arrogance, anger, possession, domination, hatred, doctrines and dogmas, precepts and rules, contention, greed, laziness, deliberate action, and so on. If one does not clear out these pieces of mental rubbish from the heart, one cannot reach the Heavenly Kingdom. Walk out of the programmes created by humanity; escape "the Egypt of the heart"; break free from the chains; head toward freedom.
VII. The Eight Great Awakenings from Human to Immortal: The Consciousness Path to the Higher LIFE Spaces¶

From the human world to the Heavenly Kingdom — that is, from human to immortal — eight great awakenings are needed:
First: Awakening to LIFE. LIFE is a kind of antimatter structure with spirituality — ever arising and ceasing, cycling through reincarnation, never dying.
Second: Awakening to birth and death. Birth and death are appearances, not substance; they are form, not essence. "The grass on the distant plain, one year it withers and grows; wildfire cannot burn it all — come spring it grows again." When the boat reaches the other shore, abandon the boat and step ashore.
Third: Awakening to cause and effect. "Plant melons, reap melons; plant beans, reap beans." "Heaven's net is vast; though its meshes are wide, nothing slips through."
Fourth: Awakening to space. The universe has 20 parallel worlds and 36-dimensional space; there is heaven and there is hell. Heaven is set for the perfect; hell is set for the defective. Whatever kind of LIFE state one has, that is the kind of living space one has.
Fifth: Awakening to karmic conditions. Everything is conditions — making karmic connections with ghosts leads to the netherworld; making karmic connections with immortals leads to the immortal realm. Unpaid debts cannot break free of hardship; insufficient merit cannot reach the immortal realm.
Sixth: Awakening to the nature of the heart. Reality is the projection of consciousness; consciousness creates reality. All phenomena arise from the heart; the heart transcends all phenomena. The three realms are mind only; all dharmas are consciousness only. Where flowers are fragrant, butterflies come naturally; where the heart is pure, immortals arrive. A heart with no fixed abode is the Tathāgata. Nature is the characteristic of structure; nature is Buddha.
Seventh: Awakening to the dharma arrays. The universe has 36 dharma arrays — the source of the game, endlessly fascinating. For example, power, money, fame, profit, sexuality, and emotion are one dharma array after another. Deeply enmeshed in them, it is hard to transcend. Only by attaining Supreme Perfect Enlightenment can one "transcend the three realms and stand outside the five elements."
Eighth: Awakening to the original truth. Everything has an origin; the origin is the original truth. Consciousness, structure, and energy are the three elements constituting the universe; everything else is "a dream, an illusion, a bubble, a shadow; like dew and like lightning — thus should it be regarded."
