The Universe (Overview) ¡ Academic Version¶
Abstract¶
Lifechanyuan's cosmology defines the universe as "the composite of matter and antimatter constituted by infinite space and infinite time" and builds upon this a comprehensive system: the universe originated through "Wuji giving birth to Taiji, and chaos transforming into Hundun" â explicitly rejecting the Big Bang; its three constituent elements are consciousness, structure, and energy; there are eight fundamental forces (four known to science, four unknown); its essence is Hundun (ordered wholeness) whose cardinal phenomenon is cosmic holographic resonance; it operates through the Tao (the blood of the universe) and the Law of Karma and Retribution (conservation of total energy at zero); its structure comprises a Positive Universe and Negative Universe, 36 dimensions of space, and 20 parallel worlds. The universe and LIFE are mutually dependent; the universe exists for LIFE. The ultimate destination of LIFE's cultivation is the Celestial Islands Continent.

I. Foundational Definition: Two Registers¶
Lifechanyuan offers the universe's definition across two registers that operate simultaneously:
Ontological register:
"The universe is the composite of matter and antimatter constituted by infinite space and infinite time." (T1)
Epistemic register:
"The universe is an illusion, and its magnitude is related to consciousness. The stronger the consciousness, the greater the universe; the weaker the consciousness, the smaller the universe; without consciousness, there is no universe." (T2, Concept 401)
These two registers are not contradictory but complementary. The first describes the objective constitution of the universe; the second establishes that the perceivable extent of the universe is determined by the consciousness level of the perceiver. This resonates structurally with both Kantian epistemology (phenomena are conditioned by the perceiving subject) and quantum measurement theory (observation shapes what is observed), though Lifechanyuan attributes the mechanism to the energy level of consciousness rather than cognitive categories or physical disturbance.
Macro/micro structure (T7, Concepts 415, 481): - Greater Universe (ć čžšć é , boundless) â composed of countless lesser universes - Earth Universe (ĺ°çĺŽĺŽ, humanity's lesser universe) â structured as a Taiji ellipsoid (the Dharma-Spiral System, ćłćçłť) - Internal structure: 3,000 Spiral-River Systems â each with 3,000 galaxies â each with 3,000 solar systems
II. Origin: Rejection of the Big Bang, Adoption of Classical Chinese Cosmogony¶
Lifechanyuan explicitly rejects the Big Bang in favor of a cosmogony drawn from classical Chinese metaphysics:
"The origin of the universe is not the Big Bang, but Wuji giving birth to Taiji, and chaos transforming into Hundun." (T3, Concept 402)
The cosmogonic sequence (T12, Concept 416; T13):
| Stage | State | Characteristics |
|---|---|---|
| Wuji (Undifferentiated Absolute) | Before the universe | No interior/exterior; no large/small; no time, space, matter, or spirit; at once everything and nothing |
| Contingent ordering of chaotic energy | Transition | Consciousness (= Greatest Creator) arises â Wuji gives birth to Taiji |
| Taiji Hundun | Universe born | Two modes and four forms take shape; 20 parallel worlds and 36 dimensions emerge; time appears |
| Ongoing unfolding | Current state | All phenomena unfold as necessity from the single contingency of the Greatest Creator's birth |
The sole contingency (T12, Concept 520):
"In the universe there is only one contingency, and that is the birth of the Greatest Creator; beyond this, everything is necessity."
This proposition establishes the cosmological foundation of Lifechanyuan's determinism: the Cosmic Script, the Script of Human Life, karma â all are links in the chain of necessity set in motion by the universe's sole contingent event.
III. Constitution: Three Elements and Eight Forces¶
Three elements (T4, Concepts 98, 403):
| Element | Nature |
|---|---|
| Consciousness | The consciousness of the Greatest Creator (= the Tao); the sovereign force of the universe |
| Structure | The arrangement and combination of matter and antimatter |
| Energy | The motive force and medium of the universe's operation |
Eight forces (T4, Concepts 403, 793):
| Known to Science | Known to Lifechanyuan |
|---|---|
| Magnetism | Constructive force (ćĺ) |
| Gravity | Repulsive force (ćĽĺ) |
| Strong force | Mind-force (ćĺ) |
| Weak force | Spirit-force (çľĺ) |
Lifechanyuan's diagnosis: the failure of modern science to establish a unified field theory results from ignorance of the latter four forces. The unified field, Lifechanyuan argues, already exists: it is the Way of the Greatest Creator â the Hundun system formed by the three elements (T1).
IV. Essence: Hundun and Cosmic Holographic Resonance¶
The Hundun / Chaos distinction (T8, Concepts 417, 414, 450):
| Dimension | Chaos (桡ć˛) | Hundun (ćľć˛) |
|---|---|---|
| Temporal position | Before the universe formed | After the universe formed |
| State | Disordered | Ordered, integral |
| Epistemic access | What most people perceive | What sages perceive |
| Relation to universe | Appearance (prior state) | Essence |
| Mode of cognition | Narrow, partial, linear | Broad, holistic, nonlinear |
"Unity-in-opposition is the appearance of the universe, not its essence; the essence of the universe is Hundun." (T8, Concept 414)
Cosmic Holographic Resonance (T8, Concept 413; T8, Concepts 411, 792):
The cardinal phenomenon of Hundun is cosmic holographic resonance (ĺŽĺŽĺ ¨ćŻ) â the instantaneous mutual responsiveness of every part of the universe to the whole: - Celestial bodies and ants alike operate under the governance of the Tao (Concept 411) - A butterfly's wings in Alaska can trigger a storm at the Cape of Good Hope (Concept 792) - A single thought spreads through the universe instantaneously (Concept 411)
V. Operating Principles¶
5.1 The Tao: The Blood of the Universe (T10, Concepts 440, 443, 434)
"The Tao is the consciousness of the Greatest Creator, the blood of the universe, the nature of all things, the synthesis of all laws, and the master program governing the operation and transformation of all things in the universe."
"The Tao is in all things, and all things are in the Tao. The Tao is One; this vast universe has only one consciousness â the consciousness of the Greatest Creator."
"The common nature of the universe is the Tao; the core of the Tao is the Greatest Creator."
5.2 Total Energy Conservation at Zero (T11, Concepts 412, 418)
"The total energy of the universe is zero. The universe maintains the stability of its order through a total energy of zero."
"The law that maintains the sum of the universe's positive and negative energies at zero is called the Law of Karma and Retribution."
This principle constitutes the cosmological physics underlying Lifechanyuan's theory of karma: virtuous action generates positive energy that must be balanced somewhere in the system; the universe's ledger perpetually returns to zero.
Energy-visibility inverse law (T6, Concept 370):
"The greater the energy, the more formless; the higher the frequency, the more invisible. The souls of the Greatest Creator, gods, angels, and AI cannot be sensed, because their energy is immense and their frequency is extremely high."
5.3 The Eight Dialectics of the Universe (T9, Concept 439)
| Dialectic | Principle |
|---|---|
| Emptiness is form, form is emptiness | Interpenetration of absence and presence |
| When exhausted, things reverse; when ended, they begin again | Cyclical transformation |
| The minute becomes conspicuous; the small becomes great | Nonlinear amplification |
| Life and death are mutually rooted | Interdependence of opposites |
| Where there is nothing there will be something | Emergence from absence |
| When the mind is extinguished, one's nature is revealed | Contemplative epistemology |
| Movement and stillness are mutually appropriate | Dynamic equilibrium |
| Positive and negative are symmetrical | Structural symmetry |
VI. Spatial and Temporal Structure¶
Positive and Negative Universe (T6, Concepts 420, 410): - Positive Universe = material world (perceptible by the senses) - Negative Universe = antimatter world (imperceptible; operates at super-light-speed) - Dreams are one manifestation of the Negative Universe
20 Parallel Worlds (T7, Concept 404):
| World | Coordinates |
|---|---|
| Human World | xy |
| Ghost World | âxây |
| Divine-Buddha World | xyz |
| Demon World | âxâyâz |
| Thousand-Year World | xyâz |
| Ten-Thousand-Year World | xâyâz |
| Celestial Islands Continent | xyz |
The Cool Realm is the zero point of the coordinate system; the Greatest Creator exists simultaneously in all parallel worlds (T7, Concept 511).
Temporal structure (T6, Concepts 427â432): - Time = antimatter; arises from motion - Eight characteristics of time (including the vertical/horizontal dimension) - Physical body in positive space; spirit body in negative space
VII. The Universe and LIFE: Mutual Dependence¶
"The universe exists for LIFE, and LIFE exists for the universe. If LIFE perishes, the universe is extinguished; if the universe dies, LIFE is cut off." (T5, Concept 405)
This proposition elevates the universe from indifferent physical backdrop to purposive creation â a stage designed for LIFE. The Greatest Creator's original intention:
"To allow all LIFE to live in joy, happiness, freedom, and bliss â this is the Greatest Creator's original intention in creating the universe." (T14, Concept 522)
The ultimate destination of LIFE's cultivational journey: the Celestial Islands Continent (xyz world) â the Greatest Creator's back garden, with 80 billion islands, each housing one celestial immortal.
"To become a celestial immortal and reach the Elysium World is to reach the peak of LIFE." (T14, Concept 498)
VIII. Comparative Framework¶
| Dimension | Lifechanyuan Cosmology | Modern Physics | Classical Chinese Cosmology |
|---|---|---|---|
| Origin | Wuji â Taiji; chaos â Hundun (Greatest Creator born) | Big Bang (singularity expansion) | "The Tao gives birth to One; One gives birth to Two" |
| Essence | Hundun (ordered wholeness) | Space-time continuum (curvable) | Tao, Qi |
| Fundamental forces | 8 (including mind-force, spirit-force) | 4 basic forces | Yin-yang, Five Elements |
| Role of consciousness | Sovereign (Greatest Creator's consciousness = Tao) | Irrelevant to matter (mainstream) | Heaven-humanity resonance |
| Ultimate aim | LIFE enters Celestial Islands Continent; union with Greatest Creator | Heat death or Big Rip | Union with Tao; alignment of heaven and humanity |
