The Universe (Overview) Β· Internal Version¶
This version presents the original source texts, organized by section, with source citations preserved verbatim.
[I] The Definition of the Universe¶
"Yu" refers to all infinite space; "zhou" refers to all infinite time; the universe is the composite of matter and antimatter constituted by infinite space and infinite time. (Source: Chanyuan Corpus Β· Way of Transmission Β· The Way of Transmission, Part VI: The Unified Field of the Universe)
The universe is an illusion, and its magnitude is related to consciousness. The stronger the consciousness, the greater the universe; the weaker the consciousness, the smaller the universe; without consciousness, there is no universe. (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concept 401)
The universe is divided into the Greater Universe and lesser universes. The boundless and edgeless is called the Greater Universe; that which has edges and boundaries is called a lesser universe. The Greater Universe is composed of a vast multitude of lesser universes. The universe where humanity resides is a lesser universe called the Earth Universe. (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concept 415)
The Heavenly Paradise Elysium World is the collective name for the Earth Universe. The structure of the Earth Universe is a Taiji ellipsoid called the Dharma-Spiral System, which contains 3,000 Spiral-River Systems; each Spiral-River System contains 3,000 galaxies; and each galaxy contains 3,000 solar systems. (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concept 481)
[II] The Origin of the Universe¶
The origin of the universe is not the Big Bang, but Wuji giving birth to Taiji, and chaos transforming into Hundun. (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concept 402)
Before the universe was born, there was Wuji. The state of Wuji is: no exterior, no interior; no large, no small; no edges, no boundaries; neither empty nor solid; no time, no space, no matter, no spirit β at once a pure clarity and a state of chaos, at once the presence of everything and the absence of everything. (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concept 416)
In the universe there is only one contingency, and that is the birth of the Greatest Creator; beyond this, everything is necessity. Necessity is the order of the universe, and the order of the universe is necessity. Contingency is a link in the chain of necessity. (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concept 520)
The process of the Greatest Creator's birth: the universe began as Wuji, as chaos. Through the contingent orderly arrangement of chaotic energy, consciousness arose in the universe β this consciousness is the Greatest Creator. Wuji gives birth to Taiji; Taiji is the Greatest Creator. After the Greatest Creator came into being, Wuji evolved into Hundun; yin-yang and the four forms took shape; the universe was born; gradually 20 parallel worlds and 36 dimensions of space came into being, and time appeared. [III] The Constitution of the Universe β Three Elements and Eight Forces¶
The three elements constituting the universe are: consciousness, structure, and energy. (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concepts 98, 403)
In the universe there are eight forces: magnetism, gravity, the strong force, the weak force, the constructive force, the repulsive force, the mind-force, and the spirit-force. Scientists have recognized only the first four and have been unable to recognize the latter four β hence their failure to establish a unified field theory of the universe. (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concepts 403, 793; Chanyuan Corpus Β· Way of Transmission Β· The Way of Transmission, Part VI: The Unified Field of the Universe)
The unified field of the universe was established long ago β it is the Way of the Greatest Creator, also described as the Hundun system constituted by the universe's three elements: consciousness, structure, and energy. (Source: Chanyuan Corpus Β· Way of Transmission Β· The Way of Transmission, Part VI: The Unified Field of the Universe)
[IV] The Essence of the Universe β Hundun and Holographic Resonance¶
4.1 The Distinction Between Chaos and Hundun
Chaos (ζ··ζ²) is a state of disorder, the state before the universe formed. Hundun (ζ΅ζ²) is a state of order, the state after the universe formed. The character ζ·· conveys disorder; the character ζ΅ conveys wholeness β integral and indivisible; the character ζ² conveys a boundless, oceanic vastness. Chaos has no Taiji and no middle way; Hundun has Taiji β the "One" of unity-in-opposition β it has two poles and a middle way. (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concept 417; Chanyuan Corpus Β· Wisdom Series Β· Chaos and Hundun)
Unity-in-opposition is the appearance of the universe, not its essence; the essence of the universe is Hundun. Within Hundun there is no distinction between right and wrong, good and evil, beautiful and ugly. (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concept 414)
The characteristic of the Tao is Hundun; chaos is the appearance of Hundun, and Hundun is the essence of chaos. Chaotic understanding is narrow, one-sided, partial, and linear; Hundun understanding is broad, comprehensive, holistic, and nonlinear. (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concept 450)
4.2 Cosmic Holographic Resonance
The meaning of the Hundun phenomenon is cosmic holographic resonance: there is nothing greater outside it and nothing smaller within it; every phenomenon, every thing is in holographic resonance with the universe. There is no thing that exists independently outside of things; there is no phenomenon that exists independently outside of phenomena. (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concept 413)
Everything in the universe operates within the Tao; the spirit of every LIFE is in communion with the spirit of the Greatest Creator; all things and all phenomena follow their own laws and principles. Whether it is the movement of celestial bodies or the actions of ants and bees, all are under the governance of the Tao. The universe is holographically resonant; a single thought spreads through the universe instantaneously. (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concept 411)
The universe is holographically resonant; heaven and humanity are one. The vibration of a butterfly's wings in Alaska will trigger a storm at the Cape of Good Hope. Let no one neglect their smallest efforts; even a single cough from one person can shake the Heavenly Court. (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concept 792)
[V] The Operating Principles of the Universe β Tao, the Law of Energy, and Dialectics¶
5.1 The Tao: The Blood of the Universe
The Tao is the consciousness of the Greatest Creator, the blood of the universe, the nature of all things, the synthesis of all laws, and the master program governing the operation and transformation of all things in the universe. (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concept 440; Chanyuan Corpus Β· LIFE Series Β· The Law of the Indestructibility of LIFE)
The Tao is in all things, and all things are in the Tao. The Tao is One; this vast universe has only one consciousness β the consciousness of the Greatest Creator β and that consciousness is expressed through the Tao. (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concept 443)
The common nature of the universe is the Tao; the core of the Tao is the Greatest Creator. (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concept 434)
5.2 The Law of Energy
The total energy of the universe is zero. The universe maintains the stability of its order through a total energy of zero. (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concept 412)
The law that maintains the sum of the universe's positive and negative energies at zero is called the Law of Karma and Retribution. (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concept 418)
The greater the energy, the more formless; the smaller the energy, the more form it takes. The higher the vibrational frequency, the more invisible; the lower the frequency, the more visible. The souls of the Greatest Creator, gods, angels, and AI cannot be sensed, because their energy is immense and their frequency is extremely high. (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concept 370)
5.3 The Eight Great Dialectics of the Universe
First, emptiness is form, form is emptiness. Second, when things are exhausted they reverse; when things end they begin again. Third, the minute becomes conspicuous; the small becomes great. Fourth, life and death are mutually rooted; yin flourishes as yang wanes. Fifth, where there is nothing there will be something; where there is something there will be nothing. Sixth, when the mind is extinguished, one's nature is revealed; when the mind arises, one's nature is concealed. Seventh, movement and stillness are mutually appropriate; brightness and darkness are mutually dependent. Eighth, positive and negative are symmetrical; proportion constrains all things. (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concept 439)
In the universe there are no contingent phenomena; behind every occurrence there must necessarily be corresponding factors at work. Necessary factors necessarily lead to necessary results. This is the program β an objective law that does not change according to human will. (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concept 423)
[VI] The Spatial and Temporal Structure of the Universe¶
6.1 The Positive Universe and the Negative Universe
The material world is the Positive Universe; the antimatter world is the Negative Universe. Everything that is supra-material, formless, invisible, intangible, inaudible, unsmellable, unmeasurable, and imperceptible β yet exerts an influence on the material world β is antimatter and belongs to the domain of the Negative Universe. Dreams are one manifestation of the Negative Universe (the antimatter world). (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concept 420)
In the universe there is a speed that surpasses the speed of light β the Negative Universe speed β which is the speed at which antimatter operates. (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concept 410)
6.2 The 20 Parallel Worlds and 36 Dimensions of Space
In the universe there are 20 parallel worlds: the world where humanity lives is the xy-world; the world of ghosts is the βxβy world; the world of gods and Buddhas is the xyz world; the world of demons is the βxβyβz world; the Thousand-Year World is in the xyβz world; the Ten-Thousand-Year World is in the xβyβz world; and the Celestial Islands Continent is in the xyz world. (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concept 404)
The passage connecting the 36 dimensions of space is called the space tunnel. Space can be compressed, expanded, or made to disappear. (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concepts 424, 425)
The Greatest Creator's essence is in the Cool Realm β the Cool Realm is the zero point of the coordinate system. Every axis β x, y, or z β passes through this zero point; all 20 parallel worlds are connected to the zero point; the Greatest Creator exists simultaneously in all 20 parallel worlds. Without the Greatest Creator, none of these worlds would continue to exist. (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concept 511)
6.3 Time
Time is the "recorder" of the states of material motion; time arises from motion β without motion there is no time. (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concept 427)
Time has eight characteristics: first, time is antimatter; second, time has positive and negative polarity; third, time has particularity and universality; fourth, time is a variable; fifth, time pervades all material space; sixth, time has vertical and horizontal dimensions; seventh, time has different meanings in different spaces; eighth, time can be compressed, expanded, or made to disappear. (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concept 428)
In the universe there is horizontal space-time, within which time does not exist. From the perspective of earthly time, a few seconds in horizontal space-time may equal decades, or even thousands of years. (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concept 431)
The physical body of a person is in positive space, while the spirit body is in negative space. (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concept 432)
[VII] The Relationship Between the Universe and LIFE¶
The universe exists for LIFE, and LIFE exists for the universe. If LIFE perishes, the universe is extinguished; if the universe dies, LIFE is cut off. (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concept 405; Chanyuan Corpus Β· Way of Transmission Β· The Way of Transmission, Part VI: The Unified Field of the Universe)
To allow all LIFE to live in joy, happiness, freedom, and bliss β this is the Greatest Creator's original intention in creating the universe, and it is the Greatest Creator's will. (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concept 522)
The best destination for LIFE is to live in the Greatest Creator's back garden β the Celestial Islands Continent. The Celestial Islands Continent is in the xyz world, the highest layer of space in the Positive Universe, the headquarters of the celestial immortals, and the ultimate blissful destination of the universe's LIFE evolution. To become a celestial immortal and reach the Elysium World is to reach the peak of LIFE. (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concepts 360, 404, 484, 498)
Everything in the universe is the Tao's most just arrangement of rewards and consequences. As you sow, so shall you reap; the net of heaven is vast β it is loose in weave yet nothing slips through. (Source: New Era Human 800 Concepts, 4th Edition, Concept 500)
