I. Definition and Essence¶

"The Values of Lifechanyuan are the most direct channel for connecting with the source of life. They are the path to happiness transmitted by the Greatest Creator and all gods and Buddhas through Xuefeng to humanity. They bring our gaze closer to the 'root' of the cosmos that seems so far from us. They lift the veil from space, time, and the antimatter world. They organically unite religion and science, contributing to the scientific unification of the cosmos. From the origin of life to its reincarnation, from the levels of life to how to elevate its quality — they help us decipher the meaning of life. In other words, the Values of Lifechanyuan are the life and living principles that humanity's new people of Earth must follow. The Values are also the best path for us to acquire wisdom, gathering all the wisdom in human history and carrying it forward. The Values are a treasure chest: whatever you seek, you can find within. A person armed with the Values can distinguish the true from the false and leave no place for demons and monsters to hide. They can open our wisdom-eye, dharma-eye, and Buddha-eye. The Values are a great crucible of life: the quality of life you obtain depends entirely on your own wisdom and effort.

II. The Soul of the 800 Values: the Will of the Greatest Creator¶

"The soul behind the 800 Values is the Greatest Creator — more precisely, the will of the Greatest Creator. 'Roaming freely according to one's free nature' is the will of the Greatest Creator in creating life. But as an awakened being, one must understand 'following the heart's desire without transgressing propriety,' just as a fish can swim freely in the water, but cannot go beyond the water, cannot do without the water — once separated from the water, forget freedom, the fish's journey will be over. Zhuangzi's 'communing with heaven and earth in spirit alone' in the Xiaoyaoyou shows his wisdom: its essence is keeping one's consciousness in alignment with the Greatest Creator. As long as one's consciousness aligns with the Greatest Creator's, one can roam freely."

III. The Values Are the Only Thing One Can Trust¶

"The only thing one can trust is the Values of Lifechanyuan. The Values are the guarantee of our ability to obtain a joyful, happy, free, and blissful life, and the fundamental guarantee of our ability to extend our lives to the Thousand-Year World, the Ten-Thousand-Year World, or the Elysium Islands of the Celestial Islands Continent.

"Trusting alone is not enough — one must also uphold. Trusting is merely seeing; upholding is actually experiencing. Like a large ripe peach: trusting is seeing the peach; upholding is tasting the peach with your own mouth. Or: trusting is seeing a beautiful future; upholding is entering that beautiful future.

"Trusting and upholding complement each other: what one cannot trust, one cannot uphold; what is difficult to uphold, one cannot truly trust. Only by trusting and upholding — and upholding and trusting — can one truly experience the wondrous state that the Values bring, live in joy, happiness, freedom, and bliss, and draw closer to the kingdom of heaven step by step.

Only those who trust and uphold the same Values, who resonate with you in consciousness, spirit, and soul — they are your true kin, the people you can rely on, the people who can truly bring you joy, happiness, freedom, and bliss.

IV. The Values Are the Bond of the Community¶

"The Values of Lifechanyuan are the bond that holds us together. Only by walking around the Values can we build a firm and lasting friendship. Once one abandons or betrays the Values, even the closest relationship cannot be sustained.

"Therefore, for those of us who have entered the inner garden, the Values are the first measure in handling our relationships with each other. Whoever upholds the Values is our true kin; whoever disregards the Values cannot be treated with excessive closeness, because they might leave any day in a moment of displeasure."

V. Values First, Personal Ties Second¶

"Chanyuan Celestials must put Values first and personal ties second.

"That is: in this home, regardless of who they are, whoever upholds the Values is our brother, sister, kin, and beloved. Whoever does not uphold the Values is not our brother, sister, kin, or beloved. The moment someone abandons the Values, the bond of brotherhood, sisterhood, kinship, and love between us vanishes instantly. Who are you? I do not know you."

VI. The Practical Value of the Values: Uphold Them and You Can Have Everything¶

"Do you want a new kind of family? You can have one! Uphold the Values, and you will have a warm family of many brothers, sisters, and kin. Everything found in a traditional family, Chanyuan has too — and Chanyuan also has what traditional families do not.

"Do you want to enjoy thousands of years of celestial life in the Thousand-Year World? You can! Uphold the Values and live according to them, and you will understand everything about the Thousand-Year World. Your consciousness will quickly resonate with the celestials of the Thousand-Year World. When the time is ripe, you will go directly to the Thousand-Year World and enjoy its boundless pleasures.

"Is this Xuefeng making things up and deceiving people?

"The Immortal Laozi gives the answer: 'A man of superior character, on hearing the Tao, earnestly practices it. A man of middling character, on hearing the Tao, sometimes keeps it and sometimes loses it. A man of inferior character, on hearing the Tao, laughs loudly at it. If he did not laugh, it would not be worth calling it Tao.'"

VIII. The Values Need No Defense — Truth Shines on Its Own¶

"The words from the sky struck me like a thunderclap, and I broke into a cold sweat. Yes — if the Values of Lifechanyuan accord with fact, science, logic, and spiritual intuition, what need is there to defend them? No one defends the sun, yet the sun shines with its full radiance. No one defends the ocean, yet the ocean surges with its full force. The more fragile something is, the more it needs defending; the more mistaken something is, the more it needs defending. A glass vase must be handled with the utmost care — but a diamond needs no care.

"Let everything unfold naturally. The cosmos has its own elimination mechanism. Dinosaurs, mammoths, and phoenixes have all vanished — proof that they no longer suited the earth's stage-specific needs. Whether the Values flourish or decline cannot be controlled by human defense; they have their own stage-specific value and lifespan.

"So let us adopt a romantic, optimistic, unrestrained, and open attitude toward the Values. Allow all other thoughts and values different from ours to bloom freely. In the end, the waves will wash the sand away and the gold will settle naturally."

"In order to fully inherit the wisdom of humanity's sages and absorb the thoughts of the saints and sages of our era… the 800 Values for New Era Humanity will begin its third revision. Every citizen on earth — regardless of religious, political, national, ethnic, or racial background — may participate. Please contribute your wisdom unselfishly to humanity; as long as your thoughts benefit people and all of humanity, we will adopt them.

"Please note: what we are gathering is Values — not opinions or beliefs. We are gathering life Values — not market values, governance values, religious values, or political values. Values are the crystallization of wisdom and thought, but thought and wisdom are not Values. The life Values we need will be the living standards we follow: express your wisdom and thought as Values, in refined language that gets straight to the core. X. Values Replace Constitutions: The Institutional Logic of Civilization's Upgrade¶

"The more detailed the constitution, laws, and regulations, the more problems they produce. The more administrators, the higher society's operating costs. Therefore, when all constitutions, laws, and regulations are abolished and Values replace them to keep society running in an orderly way, I have already prepared the 800 Values for New Era Humanity for humanity."
