The Cosmic Script is the core concept in Lifechanyuan's system that reveals the fundamental nature of the universe and the mode of existence for all LIFE. The entire universe is a vast script written by the Greatest Creator, directed by the Dao, and enacted by all beings. Within the grand script are countless nested sub-scripts β from the Milky Way, the solar system, and the Earth, down to every nation, organization, and individual. Human beings are actors in this script, not screenwriters or directors. Facing the script, humans are powerless; the wisest choice of LIFE is to understand one's role and play it well.

II. The Screenwriter, Director, and Actor of the Cosmic Script: The Complete Role System¶

In the prime of youth, one feels the world can be arranged according to one's own wishes. After passing through vicissitudes and tasting bitterness, weary in body and heart, when reaching the age of "knowing Heaven's mandate" and "having ears that obey," one finally realizes it is Heaven and Earth that arrange oneself.
"Everything is fated; not half a point is up to the person" β this is the lament of many people. They tried, struggled, fought, and gave their all, but little came of their own will. At such moments, only "gazing at the vastness of Heaven and Earth, alone with tears flowing down" remains.
This makes me think of the relationship between screenwriters, directors, and actors. The screenwriter sits at a desk, smoking, constructing and arranging characters, locations, times, and plot elements. The appearance, personality, encounters, and fate of all characters in the story are under the screenwriter's careful arrangement. The director, following the screenwriter's arrangement, gathers the characters of the story β the actors β and directs them in how to best portray the story's people. The actor can only perform according to the director's requirements, enacting the story's plot. Let alone controlling one's own fate β even one's lines are not freely chosen. When to be born, when to die β the screenwriter arranged it long ago. The actor has no say; they cannot even choose to live a few extra hours.
From this we learn: a character's fate is arranged by the screenwriter. The director has the right to make appropriate adjustments, even large ones, but the fundamental fate cannot be adjusted by the director β the right to adjust fate lies with the screenwriter.
Though the actor is alive, everything about them has already been "set in stone." An actor is, in effect, a living puppet.
Then β are we, ordinary people of the human world, not all actors?
Are kings, presidents, chairmen, religious masters, CEOs, general managers, and so forth not all directors, one by one?
Where is the screenwriter who arranges our fate?
Undoubtedly, Jin Yong is a screenwriter. Whether it is the fate of characters in Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils or The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber, it was all arranged by Jin Yong.
Wait β can Jin Yong truly arrange characters' fates as he pleases?
He cannot!
Setting aside historical threads, anyone who arranges characters' fates in a story must follow many rules β at minimum, things must be arranged plausibly. Once a character's personality is set, the screenwriter is compelled to respect that character's nature and follow the story's development. The screenwriter will find that making someone fall in love with another, or making one person hate another, is not easy. Making someone love desperately or hate bitterly is no easy feat. Making someone live or die is absolutely impossible to do as one pleases β if the timing of birth or death is too early or too late, it won't work; it must be exactly right. Otherwise, the entire story cannot be arranged.
Once arrangement begins, in most cases the screenwriter is also not in control of themselves.
The screenwriter cannot arbitrarily make people laugh, or arbitrarily make people cry; cannot arbitrarily send people to fight others, or arbitrarily fabricate false cases.
This means: behind the screenwriter, there is another screenwriter.
There is one ultimate screenwriter in the universe, and that screenwriter is the Greatest Creator. The story unfolds according to the will of the Greatest Creator β the Dao.
In the story arranged by the Greatest Creator, we are all actors. Jesus, Shakyamuni, Muhammad, Hundun Yuanchu, and others are all directors β and of course there are many, many small directors too.
Since we are actors, the question we face is: which role to play?
To play Yang Guo in Jin Yong's novels, one arm cannot be kept. To play XiaolongnΓΌ, one must live in the ancient tomb for a period. To play Zhang Wuji, one must accept the strike of the Xuanming Palm.
Perhaps someone thinks: I will play no role at all; I will design my own fate according to my own will.
The wish is good, but unfortunately it is impossible. If it were possible, Laozi's saying "Heaven's net is vast; though with wide meshes, nothing slips through" would be nonsense. The regularities discovered by scientists would no longer be regularities. "Once in the rivers and lakes, one cannot help oneself" would be absurd.
One must be an actor β and moreover, one must follow the director's arrangement.
The great director directs according to the requirements of the ultimate screenwriter, the Greatest Creator.
There are many kinds of scripts; different directors direct different content. Hitler, Tojo Hideki, Stalin, Churchill, Roosevelt, Chiang Kai-shek, Mao Zedong, and others during World War II are also directors.
Li Hongzhi, undoubtedly, is also a director.
Each director directs a different script. Each person has more or less the right to choose which role to play.
When we recognize a director, that director will then direct us according to the script's requirements.
So choosing a director directly relates to our fate.
Lifechanyuan's Hundun Yuanchu directs according to the script of the Thousand-Year World, Ten-Thousand-Year World, and the Celestial Islands Continent of the Elysium World. The actors he needs are all those who hope to become celestial beings β who wish to eternally enjoy the joyful, happy, free, and blissful life of Heaven.
To be a good actor, one must perform according to the director's requirements. If one does not perform as the director requires, the director will certainly choose someone else. This is the actor's freedom, and the director's freedom.
Everyone subconsciously wants to be a director β wants to direct others β and is unwilling to be directed by others.
Even within a family, the husband wants to direct the wife, and the wife wants to direct the husband.
Everyone subconsciously wants to control their own fate β wants to become the Greatest Creator. But this is impossible. This is called plotting mischief, disrupting the program.
Many modern "masters" teach this: "You yourself are God." "You create your own God." And so forth. Jesus Christ, the Buddha Shakyamuni, the Prophet Muhammad, and the Sage Laozi do not teach people this way.
Satan was originally an archangel, but he wanted to become God. As a result, Satan became a devil.
Anyone who wants to become the Greatest Creator themselves is an incarnation or representative of the devil. Anyone who incites others to want to become the Greatest Creator is a representative and accomplice of the devil.
Is inciting ministers, governors, premiers, leaders, and religious figures to seize the presidency not the work of the devil?
Therefore, I advocate that people "be at ease with whatever comes, go with the flow, act naturally, act in the moment." This is called "following the Dao's nature."
Every person has "nature (xing)." This nature is Heaven's mandate. Following one's nature is following Heaven's mandate. Following Heaven's mandate is aligning with the Dao. Aligning with the Dao is being a celestial being.
A screenwriter's script is a kind of program. Once an actor has chosen a director, they enter a kind of program and begin performing LIFE according to the program.
If we don't choose this program, we must choose another program. It is impossible not to operate within a program β unless we ourselves are the Greatest Creator. But can we become the Greatest Creator?
By no means entertain the delusion of becoming the incarnation or accomplice of the devil.
There are thousands upon thousands of programs. A family is one program; once you enter the family program, you must play the roles of father, child, husband, wife, brother, sister, and so on.
A nation is a program; once you enter a certain nation, you must endure or enjoy everything that nation gives.
Political parties and religious organizations are likewise programs; once you enter these programs, you must observe them and endure their constraints.
Of course, we can choose not to enter any "human-made" programs. But if we do, we will enter the program of "wandering soul."
Of course, we can strive to become directors β but becoming a director requires a very clear understanding of the script and thorough knowledge of everything in it.
Of course, we can strive to become screenwriters β but becoming a screenwriter requires corresponding capacity.
Since the ultimate screenwriter is the Greatest Creator, we choose to be actors in the Greatest Creator's script. Whoever understands the Greatest Creator and the Greatest Creator's script best β we let them be our director.
Moreover, since we must be actors either way, we might as well choose the most ideal role to play.

III. The Core Feature of the Cosmic Script: A Living Script β the Past Is Fixed, the Future Is Alive¶

This life's script has already been determined. The next life's script changes at any time β based on a person's past thoughts, intentions, and actions, which determine that person's subsequent LIFE trajectory. For example, if someone's LIFE trajectory is set for the Celestial Islands Continent, but during the process of playing their role their intentions are poor and they perform badly, then the LIFE trajectory toward the Celestial Islands Continent will diverge. The trajectory may evolve toward the Ten-Thousand-Year World; depending on the severity of the situation, it may shift to the Thousand-Year World, or cycle back to the human world, or even devolve to the animal realm or Hell.
The past script is fixed; the future script is alive. The living script changes at any moment based on every person's intentions and the quality of their role performance.

Let us first look at Biblical prophecies and their fulfillment⦠The Jewish people were to be persecuted "among the nations"⦠In 1948, the State of Israel was officially established, fulfilling the above prophecy.
Let us next look at the prophecies of the French physician Nostradamus in Centuries from over 400 years ago⦠"The empire tilting toward the dark race" was fulfilled with the rise of America's Black president Obama.
Let us look at the ancient Chinese prophecy, the Golden Mausoleum Tablet Inscription: "The Golden Mausoleum Tower, the Golden Mausoleum Tower, built by Liu Ji, demolished by Jieshi β demolish the Golden Mausoleum Tower, and soldiers and civilians will kill each other." They demonstrate that time does not exist. Time is merely an illusion in people's minds. Or one might say: time is only a recorder of the state of material movement; time itself has no effect on the development and change of things.

Even people's names were already scriptedβ¦ That is to say, the entire universe β the entire development and change of humanity β was long ago written into a script. Its locations, characters, events, and plot elements were already written into the script. Everything is unfolding according to the script.
V. The Human Being in the Cosmic Script: How an Actor Plays Their Role Well¶

In the vast sky there are celestial bodies far exceeding the number of human beings on Earth β that is, stars. Each celestial body has its own orbit; each celestial body's orbit is determined, not freely chosen by the celestial body.
Human life also has its trajectory. Birth, aging, and death are unavoidable trajectories. The eighteen events in human life that one cannot manage oneself are human life's trajectories. If examined, summarized, and analyzed in detail, every nuance of human life's trajectory was already determined long ago β including one's name, one's temperament and character at each stage of life, what words one will say, what things one will do, what kind of person one will meet, what misfortunes one will encounter, what illnesses one will suffer, and what the outcome will be β all of it was already determined.
The question arises: if the trajectory of human life and its details were already determined long ago, does a person have free will?
If so, where does free will manifest?
Human beings undoubtedly possess free will β and it is precisely free will that is the source of hesitation, worry, suffering, fear, and sorrow in life.
The universe is one. The universe is holographic. The universe is a vast script. Everything that occurs in human society is a passage in this vast cosmic script. Each person is one of the actors on the grand stage of life, strictly performing according to pre-written plot elements, playing the assigned roles in the plot.
Psychological experiences such as hesitation, worry, suffering, fear, and sorrow arise from the conflict between each person's free will and the script's plot arrangements⦠If free will aligns with the script's arrangement, the heart will be calm, joyful, happy, blissful, and free.
The highest level of cultivation is to eliminate ego-attachment, to achieve "no-self." Only by relinquishing ego-attachment and reaching the state of "no-self" can one merge with the Dao. Merging with the Dao is attaining complete cultivation.
The cosmic script has determined elements and variable elements. The plot is determined; who goes to play the characters in the script is variable. Those who perform well can go on to play roles increasingly aligned with their own free will β for example, to perform in Heaven. Those who perform poorly will play roles increasingly contrary to their own free will β for example, to perform roles in Hell.
So who goes to Heaven?
Those who, without ego-attachment, play their assigned roles well according to the pre-written plot can go to Heaven. Those who conflict with the arranged plot β that is, those with strong ego-consciousness who are unwilling to play their roles β must go to Hell.
Here we discover a mystery: whether you go to Heaven or Hell has nothing to do with the role you play β it has everything to do with whether you play your role well.
Take the fascist leader Hitler. From a human perspective, he should go to Hell. But from the perspective of the cosmic script's plot, if he performed his assigned role very well, he might actually go to Heaven.
No matter whether you play emperor or thief, if you perform well, you are rewarded with going to Heaven. If you perform poorly, you are punished with going to Hell.
So how does one prove that one's performance was good or poor?
There is a very simple verification method: no matter what role you are playing β whether a role of suffering or enjoyment, whether a spectacular role or a mundane one β if at any moment you are calm and at ease, joyful and happy, without hesitation, without worry, without pain, without anxiety, without dread, without fear, but rather grateful, then your role performance is good. Otherwise, your performance is poor.
Those who have grasped the essence of the Buddha's teachings understand that ego-attachment is the greatest obstacle to reaching the Pure Land. Ego-attachment is caused by one's own free consciousness being too strongβ¦
Being at ease with whatever comes, going with the flow, acting naturally, acting in the moment β these are the best methods for playing one's role well.

VI. The Only Space for Effort in the Cosmic Script: Intention Is the Only Free Territory¶

Personal effort is manifested in the quality of one's intentions and the perfection of one's role performance. One's intentional activity is not arranged by the script; free will is manifested in whether one's intentions and specific role performance are perfected or not. For example: a television drama's script was already arranged by the screenwriter. The director selects actors according to each actor's appearance, personality, and acting skill. Actors must strictly perform according to the script's plot elements and the director's requirements. A good performance pleases the director β not only is the pay high, but the actor is hired again for the next show. A poor performance means low pay and no further casting. So whether one performs well or poorly depends on oneself β this is personal effort.
A person's inner activity is not pre-arranged and is not predestined. It is entirely the individual's free will β it is also one area where personal effort is needed. Whether to form good or evil intentions β this is entirely one's own choice.
Inner activity is thought activity. Thought activity is a kind of wave. This wave propagates throughout the universe β that is, the moment one's heart stirs, the inner activity radiates into the universe, equivalent to announcing one's thoughts aloud to the entire universe. Humans cannot perceive or receive this signal, but the divine beings are already fully aware β or one might say, every person's inner activity is instantaneously known throughout the entire universe, then recorded in the program of the Dao. The program of the Dao will automatically arrange your future fate and LIFE trajectory based on your inner activity. This is karma.
VII. The Time Array: The Temporal Revelation of the Cosmic Script¶

Time does not exist. Any person can return to their own past, or rush to their own future β just as one can freely flip through a long novel, turning to whatever page one wishes. Anyone who can do this has opened the Buddha's Eye; that person is a Buddha. Anyone who cannot has not yet opened the Buddha's Eye, has not yet become a Buddha. Actually, whether one becomes a Buddha or not was already arranged long ago β one is simply lost in the time array and cannot experience the Buddha state.
I have already analyzed: in the universe, other than one contingency, everything else is necessity.
That is to say, the situation each of us is in right now was already arranged in the script long ago. What comes next must also unfold according to the script's plot; we ourselves have no say.
To go further: the people we encounter, anything that happens to us, the sweet, bitter, sour, and spicy of our lives β the joys and sorrows, our eating, wearing, housing, travel, birth, aging, illness, death β how they occur, how they change, how they conclude β all is already arranged in the program. We are actually powerless to change any of it; we can only face it.
We are actors, not screenwriters and directors!
Only by escaping the time array can we be unbound by time and enter the Kingdom of Freedom to eternally enjoy the pleasures of LIFE.
After escaping the time array, observe oneself β at this point, everything in life is like performing a play. Whether playing a great person or an ordinary commoner; whether playing a rich person or a beggar; whether playing the Guide or a Chanyuan Celestial; whether playing the abuser or the abused; whether playing a young person or an elder β it is all the same. It is just a game, just a performance. There is nothing to worry about, be anxious about, resent, be anxious about, fear, or dread.
Set yourself in advance at the Thousand-Year World, or the Ten-Thousand-Year World, or the Celestial Islands Continent of the Elysium World, and then watch yourself in the human world as if watching a movie β this is the wonderful method for escaping the time array.
VIII. The Cosmological Foundation of the Cosmic Script: All Is Necessity; All Moves in the Dao¶

In the universe there is only one contingency β the birth of the Greatest Creator. Other than that, everything is necessity. Necessity is the order of the universe; the order of the universe is necessity. Contingency is a link in the chain of necessity.

Everything in the universe moves within the Dao. The spirit of all LIFE is connected with the spirit of the Greatest Creator. All things and all phenomena follow their own laws and regularities β whether the movement of celestial bodies or the actions of ants and bees, all are under the control of the Dao. Whatever kind of information we send into Nature, Nature will give us corresponding feedback. There are no accidental phenomena in the universe. Behind the occurrence of all phenomena, there must be corresponding factors at work. There are no causeless natural phenomena; necessary factors necessarily lead to necessary results. This is the program β the objective regularity that does not shift with human will.

IX. How to Exit the Kingdom of Necessity: Two Pathways to Escape the Script's Constraints¶

Tianshan Celestial: What kind of person can perform the script of walking the Way of the Greatest Creator? What kind can only go to lower realms? What kind of LIFE can only cycle through repeated reincarnation? Does an individual LIFE's exploration and pursuit of, and contemplation of, the Greatest Creator play no role? If everything is already written in the script, can some LIFE never escape the script and exit the Kingdom of Necessity? How can a LIFE within the script have the opportunity to perform a better script, and perhaps one day escape necessity and enter the Kingdom of Freedom?
Answer: From the time array of the thirty-six trigram arrays, we know that all LIFE in the universe is in necessity β all are unfolding their own LIFE trajectories within the script. That is to say, everything has been written in the script; everything has already been arranged. Each LIFE simply acts as an actor according to their role in the script.
To put it more plainly: for every person β when to be born, when to die and how, where and when to be born, what accomplishments to have in life, whether poor or prosperous, honorable or humble, what kind of people to meet throughout life, with whom to be loving, with whom to quarrel and fight, what food to eat, what words to say β even what illnesses one will suffer, what habits one will pick up, what work one will do, whether one will be bitten by a mouse, whether one will go to prison, and so on and so on β all is arranged. The individual is powerless; one can only perform LIFE according to the script.
Since everything is determined, how does one's free will come into play? How can one escape the constraints of the script β this Kingdom of Necessity β and enter the Kingdom of Freedom?
Here are two pathways:
First: Attain supreme enlightenment β clarify the full plot of the script as early as possible. On one hand, faithfully perform LIFE according to the script; on the other hand, step outside the script and observe one's own performance. In this way, one's mindset is different, one's experience is different. Facing the same suffering, those who don't understand feel it as bitterness; those who understand find it interesting. Same situation, two kinds of understanding and experience. For example, in today's increasingly widespread divorces, some feel the world opens wide after divorce, with a refreshed spirit; while others feel the road narrows further, disheartened. This is the role of free will. Knowing not only what but why is equivalent to escaping the script β escaping the constraints of the Kingdom of Necessity and entering the Kingdom of Freedom.
Second: Walk the Way of the Greatest Creator, acting naturally. Walking the Way of the Greatest Creator is walking the natural way. Walking the natural way is receiving all of the Greatest Creator's arrangements for oneself with a joyful heart β even suffering hardship, even going through life and death, receiving it all joyfully and with gratitude toward the Greatest Creator. No matter what one does, no matter where one goes, no matter what kind of life one lives, be at ease with whatever comes, go with the flow, neither rushed nor slow, playing the game with cheerfulness. When facing difficult choices, act naturally β since everything has already been written into the script and the program, no amount of struggling will change it. Better to listen to the calling of one's heart, act according to one's spiritual perception (what people normally call intuition, or the sixth sense) β do not use one's intellect to judge right and wrong, good and bad; do not use one's own wisdom to suppress the inner calling against one's strong inner impulse. In this way, one follows the will of the Greatest Creator β one is the Greatest Creator's good child.
