Dialectics¶
One yin and one yang — that is the Tao. Balance between yin and yang — that is principle. Understanding dialectics — that is clarity. Following nature — that is virtue.
— Xuefeng, The Eight Great Cosmic Dialectics
Dialectics is the theoretical study of unity of opposites, the contradictory movement of things, and their universal interconnection. In the Lifechanyuan system, Guide Xuefeng developed this into the Eight Great Cosmic Dialectics — eight pairs of fundamental cosmic laws grounded in yin-yang symmetry — and used them to demonstrate the existence of the Kingdom of Heaven, the possibility of becoming a celestial being, and the inevitable arrival of a new world. Yet the unity of opposites is only the surface of the universe; its essence is Hundun (undifferentiated wholeness).
