The Material World, the Spiritual World, and the Soul World¶
Life has three worlds: the material world, the spiritual world, and the soul world. The material world is heavy; the spiritual world is light; the soul world is ethereal. Animals dwell in the material world; humans dwell in the spiritual world; immortals, buddhas, and angels dwell in the soul world.

Overview¶
The material world, the spiritual world, and the soul world are Life Chanyuan's three-tier framework for understanding where a life actually exists. These are not geographical locations but structural positions of consciousness — a life is bound to whichever world holds its attention.
The three worlds correspond to distinct life levels: humans belong in the spiritual world, celestial immortals and buddhas inhabit the soul world, and the divine and the Greatest Creator dwell in the primordial chaos world beyond. Most people, however, remain trapped in the material world alongside animals, exhausted by food, clothing, shelter, money, and mortality.
The practice of cultivation is, at its heart, the art of ascending from one world to the next.
