Heavenly Bank (Friendly Version)¶
You Have a Cosmic Account¶
Everyone has an account in the cosmos — the Heavenly Bank.
Unlike a bank on earth, what you deposit is not money. It is merit: every genuinely selfless act, every time you give without expecting anything in return, every contribution you make to people and the world around you. The cosmos records every single one.
Jesus Christ said it plainly in the Gospel of Matthew:
"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth … store up for yourselves treasures in heaven. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
Lifechanyuan takes this as a literal description of how life works: your real assets are not property or a savings account. They are the merit you have accumulated. Where that merit is deposited determines where you will ultimately arrive.
Why Won't a Single Deposit Be Wasted?¶
You might wonder: I gave a great deal, but no one thanked me or gave anything back. Doesn't that mean I lost out?
No — because of a cosmic law: the sum of positive and negative energies in the cosmos always equals zero. This means that whatever you genuinely give, the cosmos holds in its ledger, and will return to you in full — perhaps not immediately, perhaps not in a form you expect, but it will come.
Xuefeng put it this way:
"The sum of positive and negative energies in the cosmos equals zero; what I give and what I receive are always equal. I keep giving, enjoying less, receiving less in the moment — and this is the finest arrangement heaven has made for me. All my treasures are deposited in the Kingdom of Heaven. I will have great fortune in the future."
Whether or not anyone thanks you in the moment, whether or not the reward is immediate — the Heavenly Bank has never made an error.
How Do You Make a Deposit?¶
Depositing into your Heavenly Bank account is simply living with genuine generosity:
- Sharing uplifting ideas with people around you
- Offering your time, effort, and resources to the community
- Helping others when they are in difficulty
- Maintaining warmth and harmony in the group you live in
- Giving without condition — what the tradition calls "formless giving"
The single action that earns the largest deposit is: helping humanity build a better way to live together — creating a community model that benefits every life on earth.
How Much Do You Need?¶
There is no single number, but there is one line you cannot fall below: your balance cannot be zero.
Xuefeng described a scene in one of his essays. A person arrives at the border of the Kingdom of Heaven with no one blocking their way — and is still turned away:
"Told there is not a single deposit in the Heavenly Bank account, and sent back to where they came from."
Entering the celestial realms requires three things together:
- All worldly bonds settled — no unfinished relationships pulling you back
- A positive Heavenly Bank balance — enough merit accumulated
- A quality of life worthy of the celestial realms — habits and character that fit
All three must be in place. A generous account won't help if your everyday habits are incompatible with celestial life. A perfect character won't help if you never gave anything. The three go together.
F-Coin — The Real-World Receipt¶
In Lifechanyuan, F-Coin is the Heavenly Bank's visible, real-world accounting system.
Xuefeng explained: offerings made to the community "accumulate Heavenly F-Coins — the equivalent of depositing one's money in the Heavenly Bank. This is based on the teaching of Christ Jesus." The community keeps a clear record for every member:
"In the Heavenly Bank we hold wealth; every act of giving and dedication is recorded in a clear account. The seeds scattered along the way will sprout, grow, flower, and bear fruit."
So F-Coins are not merely internal points — they are the ledger entries of your journey toward the celestial realms.
Can You Transfer Your Balance?¶
When Xuefeng's mother-in-law, Jingdi, passed away, he believed her merit was not quite sufficient to reach the Thousand-Year World. He prayed:
"Whatever merit Jingdi lacks, I will supply in full from my own Heavenly Bank account. Should my own merit later prove insufficient, I am willing to return to the Thousand-Year World and continue cultivating."
The Heavenly Bank, it turns out, is not cold arithmetic. Within the bonds of love and sincere prayer, accounts can flow between lives.
Start Now — Not Later¶
The Heavenly Bank rewards those who start early.
Time in human life is short and unpredictable. "Plan a hundred years ahead," Xuefeng wrote, "lest the moment of truth leave you helpless." By the time a crisis arrives, it may be too late to start depositing.
The good news: there is no minimum opening balance. Every genuine act of giving, starting today, counts.
