Heavenly Treasures · Friendly Version

A Bank Account in Heaven

Have you ever thought about what you are actually accumulating in this lifetime?

Not money, not property, not reputation — but something more fundamental. Something you can actually bring with you when you leave this world. Something that might matter at the gates of heaven.

Xuefeng, the guide of Lifechanyuan, has a clear and illuminating answer: Heavenly Treasures are soul energy.

What Is Soul Energy?

Xuefeng divides all energy in the universe into three types:

  • Material energy: electricity, heat, food, physical strength…
  • Mental energy: knowledge, fame, status, property…
  • Soul energy: faith, love, goodness, longing for beauty, music, art…

The first two types dissolve when life ends. Bank balances, hard-won reputations, social networks — all reset to zero.

Only soul energy is the wealth that truly belongs to your soul.

"Heavenly Treasures refer mainly to soul energy. Material energy and mental energy do not count as Heavenly Treasures." — Xuefeng, Heavenly Treasures and How to Calculate Them, 2009

How Do You Accumulate Heavenly Treasures?

Xuefeng lists eight ways. In simple terms:

1. Walk the Way of the Greatest Creator Revere the Greatest Creator, revere LIFE, revere nature — this is depositing into your heavenly account.

2. Give love selflessly Not for reward, not in exchange — just pure, unconditional giving. This is the most direct accumulation.

3. Dissolve grievances, bring harmony Every time you dissolve a conflict, every time you bring someone peace of mind, that is a deposit.

4. Think good thoughts, do good deeds One kind thought, one helpful act — nothing disappears. It is all recorded in heaven's account.

5. Praise the divine, cherish LIFE and nature Praise the Greatest Creator, the Buddha, Laozi, the prophets; appreciate others; cherish the beauty of the natural world — all of this counts.

6. Give confidence, ease fear Help an anxious person see hope again. That gift of soul energy — heaven recognizes it.

7. Beautiful love (with no harm to anyone) Romantic and sexual love expressed purely, bringing joy without a trace of injury — this is the flowering of soul energy.

8. Express your artistic beauty A poem, a dance, a painting, a piece of music — give full expression to your artistic gifts. That is accumulation.

What Depletes Your Heavenly Treasures?

There are also eight things that draw down your heavenly account:

  • Desecrating the sacred, insulting divine beings or sages
  • Harming or abusing LIFE
  • Damaging nature
  • Harboring hatred, jealousy, or complaint
  • Fighting, competing, seizing others' energy
  • Creating fear, spreading deception, causing pain
  • Threatening or controlling others
  • Suppressing anyone's true nature

Every such action is a deduction.

How Do You Know How Much You Have?

Xuefeng offers an everyday analogy:

Think of a close friend. You know how much you have given to that relationship, how much you have shown up for them. When you visit, you can sense how warmly they would welcome you — how long they would be glad to have you stay, how they would treat you. That warmth is a measure of the "treasure" you have stored with them.

The Kingdom of Heaven works the same way: the more soul energy you have given to the world, the deeper your welcome will be — which level of heaven you may enter, how long you may stay.

You Don't Have to Suffer to Accumulate

Many people imagine spiritual practice as austere — retreating to the mountains, fasting, leaving the world behind.

But Lifechanyuan's wisdom is different: you can accumulate Heavenly Treasures right here, in daily life — through laughter, playful banter, shared labor with brothers and sisters.

The Second Home was built precisely for this. It is described as "the transit station from the human world to the Kingdom of Heaven."

"Whatever we contribute is like storing treasures in heaven — no thief can steal it, no bird can carry it away, no pest can destroy it." — Xuefeng, The Homeland We Long For Is Not Far Away, 2008

One Critical Point: Honesty

In 2025, Xuefeng wrote a fictional story in which heaven's gatekeeping angel declares that heaven "tolerates not one iota of falsehood."

A Chanyuan Celestial who had accumulated tens of thousands of F-coins (the symbolic currency of merit) was turned away because a single one was fraudulent.

This is not a literal claim about F-coins unlocking heaven. It is a teaching about something deeper: whether your giving is genuine, whether your heart is true — the LIFE program in heaven sees everything.

One Sentence to Remember

Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Where your heart is, there your future will be.

Starting today, treat every act of giving, every kind thought, every moment of bringing joy to another person, as a deposit into your heavenly account.

This treasure is yours forever.
