Abstract¶
Within the Lifechanyuan system, "Hell" is a cosmological concept designating the three lowest parallel worlds in the universe's 36-dimensional space: the Underworld (Yinjian), the Frozen Layer (Bingdong Ceng), and the Fire-Tempering Layer (Huolian Ceng). Hell is not a psychological metaphor or mythological narrative, but a real spatial domain established within the antimatter world coordinate system. Its existence is supported by both the law of the unity of opposites and inferences from quantum physics. Entry into Hell follows the causal-karmic law of reincarnation in strict correspondence with specific character deficiencies. Hell serves as an integral component of the universe's symmetric balance of LIFE.
I. Ontological Classification¶

The source texts offer two definitions that together constitute a complete understanding:
Structural definition: "The Fire-Tempering Layer, the Frozen Layer, and the Underworld are collectively what is commonly referred to as Hell." (Concept 365) — Hell is the collective name for three distinct spaces, not a single unified realm.
Essence definition: "What is Hell? A place without love is Hell." (Concept 585) — Hell's experiential essence is the absolute absence of love, which correlates directly with the spiritual level of the beings inhabiting it.

The complete LIFE cycle (from highest to lowest) runs: Celestial Realm → Elysium World → Yin Pole Black Hole → Ten-Thousand-Year World → Thousand-Year World → Human World → Yang Pole Black Hole → Domestic Animal Realm → Animal Realm → Plant Realm → Underworld → Frozen Layer → Fire-Tempering Layer. Hell occupies the lowest end of the cycle but remains within the reincarnation system: LIFE in Hell does not re-enter the Human World directly and must pass through intermediate layers.

Hell is not imposed from outside; it is a genuine space brought into being and sustained by the shared resonance of beings with compatible consciousness states.

IV. Consciousness Orientation and Destination¶
4.1 Degree of Freedom as a Quantifiable Metric¶
"The greater the freedom, the closer to Heaven; the lesser the freedom, the closer to Hell." (Concept 382)
This provides an operational dimension: a being's freedom of consciousness, behavior, and love maps directly onto its position in the cosmic hierarchy.

Hell is not merely a place of punishment; it serves a structural function in cosmic symmetric balance: "We must consider the symmetric balance of all LIFE in cosmic space." (Tour Guide's Articles, 2006) This means Hell's existence is as necessary as Heaven's — both are required to maintain the integrity of the cosmic LIFE system.
