A planned economy will inevitably lead to poverty, ignorance and barbaric backwardness; a market economy will inevitably lead to the collapse of Earth's ecology and the extinction of humanity. Only the Hundun economy is the best path for humanity toward civilization.

The world today operates under two main economic models, but neither is a civilized economic model — both are primitive and barbaric.

There are two great economic models in this world: the market economy model led by the United States, and the planned economy model led by China. Each has its advantages and disadvantages. The advantage of the market economy is that it fully mobilizes people's initiative and enthusiasm for pursuing profit. The advantage of the planned economy is that it can concentrate natural and human resources to accomplish things that no individual or enterprise could manage alone. The drawback of the market economy is that people are always in a state of intense competition, keeping them in constant psychological and mental tension — the slightest misstep leads to elimination. The drawback of the planned economy is that everything is controlled by human will; due to human shortsightedness and selfishness, it always robs Peter to pay Paul and forever serves as fertile soil for cultivating bureaucracy and corruption.

From the perspective of a higher level of human civilization, neither the market economy model nor the planned economy model is the best choice — the Celestial Kingdom economic model is humanity's best choice.

II. The Defects of Planned Economy¶

The defects of planned economy are as follows.

Planning from an office cannot accurately grasp the ever-changing market — no workable plan can be produced.
Planned economies easily breed bureaucratism, opportunists, and corrupt officials.
Planned economies require a distribution mechanism. Who designs it? Who implements it? Unless a sage does so, once people hold the power to allocate resources, corruption is one hundred percent certain.
Planned economies kill people's initiative and creativity, preventing the full exercise of human potential — "the right person in the right place, the right resource in the right use" becomes impossible.
Planned economies effectively deprive ordinary people of their right to free existence while nurturing a large class of selfish officials.
They increase the burden on ordinary people.
Planned economies cause production costs to keep rising, resource waste becomes more serious, market goods grow fewer in variety, and falsified data increases.
The state seals off citizens from traveling abroad and blocks incoming information, causing society to move ever further toward extremism, ignorance, and confrontation with external forces.

In a word: planned economies will inevitably lead to poverty and backwardness.

A planned economy leads to egalitarianism, suppresses the development of productive forces, and causes people to scramble to become civil servants and officials — because a government job provides a secure livelihood and chances for promotion; once one becomes an official, one gains the power to allocate resources and "rise above others."

The market economy model mobilizes the evil side of human nature; the planned economy model mobilizes the cunning side. In the long run, the market economy is superior to the planned economy, because market economies are based on private ownership — under private ownership everyone cares about their own gains and losses. Under planned economies' public ownership, no one bothers to work; everyone is preoccupied with who controls resources.

III. The Defects of Market Economy¶

The defects of market economy are as follows.

It leads to polarization — the rich grow richer, the poor grow poorer.
Savage competition develops, causing resource exploitation with no regard for the survival of future generations; Earth's ecology accelerates toward ruin.
To prevent monopoly, laws and regulations multiply endlessly, freedom paradoxically decreases, government agencies expand, and taxation grows ever more complex and burdensome.
The driving force of a well-functioning market economy is money. When money becomes the core pursuit of the market, legal disputes multiply, human warmth fades, and relationships become nakedly transactional — profit above all, tenderness gone.
The market economy is an abyss of ever-expanding desire — like a balloon pumped with endless air, its explosion is an inevitable law. Periodic economic depressions occur, causing mass unemployment and driving some to live on the streets.
In a market economy, talent flourishes, the economy develops, wealth accumulates, and goods become endlessly abundant — but this causes people to forget the original purpose of living, to sink ever deeper into vicious cycles of fierce competition, and their unending greed for material conditions increasingly demonizes human nature.
In a market economy, survival depends on ability. Those born with lower intelligence are marginalized; welfare may keep them barely alive, but their dignity vanishes entirely.
The market economy runs counter to humanity's ideal of a harmonious world. The market is like the vast African savanna — every species survives through mortal struggle. The market economy is, in essence, the jungle economy of the animal world.

The market economy brings prosperity, material abundance, and national strength, but what it pursues is not justice but private interest — not the welfare of all humanity but the interests of individuals, families and nations — not harmony with nature but confrontation with it.

In a word: the market economy leads to the destruction of the natural ecology and will ultimately cause the extinction of humanity.

IV. Planning Violates the Natural Way¶

I have found that planning does not accord with the Natural Way (Tao).

If we planned births, planned careers, planned marriages and divorces, planned the time of death — if every aspect of life were planned out — what would be the point of living? Where would the surprises be?

Planning inevitably violates the Natural Way. Imagine: planned economy determines how many steel mills to build nationwide, how many department stores, how many schools, how many children each family should have, how large each person's home should be, which direction the bed should face, what to eat for breakfast, what to eat for dinner, how many times a day each person should break wind — the result is inevitably chaos, and no one has much joy in their life.

V. The Hundun Economy: Essence and Eighteen Principles¶

Hundun Economics belongs to the Celestial Kingdom economic model — it is evolved onto Earth by copying and modeling the elementary economic mode of the Celestial Kingdom. The purpose of Hundun Economics is to let every person on Earth fully enjoy the beauty of life, to pass through life happily and blissfully, no longer anxious about food, clothing, shelter, transportation, aging, illness or death, no longer worried about personal security — to live out each person's brilliance, to live out the best life quality of truth, goodness, beauty, love, faith and sincerity.

The main contents of Hundun Economics consist of the following 18 points.

All natural resources on Earth belong to the Greatest Creator, belong to all humanity — they do not belong to any nation, ethnicity, group, organization or individual.
Earth is the common home of humanity; every citizen of Earth has the God-given right to move and migrate freely across the Earth.
The institution of marriage and the small-family model disappear; people live, work and reside in international families, which bear full responsibility for the care of the elderly and the upbringing of children.
Education, healthcare and judicial work are all handled and implemented by intelligent robots (silicon-based life); individuals bear no costs — everything is free.
The operational programs of all society are formulated by AI; no government administrative departments participate or interfere.
Everyone possesses everything; there is no longer poverty or wealth disparity.
Any individual who hoards resources and wealth will be regarded as shameless and scorned by the people.
Currency representing material wealth disappears; F-Coins representing spiritual wealth and soul wealth will circulate.
The quantity of F-Coins reflects the magnitude of a person's contribution to humanity. The more F-Coins one has, the more perfect that person's LIFE quality, the more respect and admiration they receive from lives above and below. Therefore everyone actively strives to earn more F-Coins, which leads to abundant material wealth, rich goods, endless inventions and creations, and an ever more comfortable life.
People's desire to pursue spiritual and soul wealth exceeds their desire to pursue material wealth. People will find that the richer their souls and spirits become, the more abundant material wealth will be — and at that point, people will finally understand how backward, primitive, ignorant and barbaric planned economy and market economy truly are.
Cloud computing, big data, the Internet of Things, the Internet, and AI tell us what each person needs and how much they consume; AI can precisely calculate what all of humanity needs and consumes daily for food, clothing, shelter, transportation, aging, illness and death — so factories will not produce a single surplus product, all production is precisely coordinated, without any human planning or market regulation. How much a factory should produce is displayed in advance on a large screen.
Global division of labor and cooperation: not one superfluous factory, not one superfluous power plant, not one superfluous school or hospital, not one superfluous product is built or made. Each region leverages its climate, environment, geography and talent advantages to serve all humanity; in return, everything one needs is provided and met by other production units.
Hundun Economics tells us that under Hundun economic principles, factories, schools, hospitals, shopping centers, courts, banks and so on all disappear; everything is replaced by tens of millions of international families operating under AI data analysis and regulation, with production and transportation costs reduced to minimum.
Under the Hundun economic system, theft, robbery, deception, oppression, corruption, bribery, drug manufacturing, drug trafficking and drug use all disappear — there is no soil for them to grow in, no environment for them to exist in, no means to commit crimes, and no necessity to do so.
Under the Hundun economic system, because people move and migrate globally without any obstacles, with frequent flows of people among international families everywhere, and because every person's data and location is precisely tracked, all national defense expenditures such as maintaining armies and producing weapons lose their necessity, value and meaning.
Under the Hundun economic system, suicides nearly vanish — the depression, anxiety and pressure that cause suicide all disappear. Every day for people is a day of joy and happiness, a day full of hope, a day of breathtaking beauty, a day of longing and yearning.
The Hundun economic system will preserve a territory for those who are selfish, greedy, excessively desirous, lazy, opportunistic, who want to "rise above others," seek eternal fame, bring glory to their ancestors, become wealthy, become high officials, or prefer the planned or market economy — for example, leaving Australia for them, letting them do as they please. Those who do not wish to live in international families are sent to Australia; those who wish and are willing to live in international families are received from Australia — ensuring everyone's freedom and voluntary choice.
Based on the elementary Celestial Kingdom mechanism, government has almost no reason to exist — but since this is Earth, with relatively fragile and scarce environments and natural resources, there still needs to be a global government; however, its nature and functions are nothing like those of today's national governments. It is merely a symbolic presence. What truly makes the Hundun economy operate effectively is not the government but the sages among humanity.

It does not cause wealth polarization or class stratification, nor does it allow some people to manage and control the production and lives of others. Each person has their area of responsibility and makes their own decisions within it. Because material goods follow the principle of "contribution according to ability, access according to need," there is no vicious competition, no waste of resources, and no situation where some have resources while others lack them. Opportunism and corruption have no foothold. No one can lord over others. Even theft has no soil to survive in. The elderly are cared for by the Celestial Kingdom model; children are nurtured and educated by it. Without marriage and family, sexuality is free; people have no spiritual shackles or psychological burdens; cultural life is rich and colorful — so everyone can enjoy the comfort and beauty of life.

VI. Practice and Challenges¶

The greatest difficulty of the Celestial Kingdom economic model is not a lack of material abundance, but the difficulty of purifying people's hearts and minds. Some people, even after ten years of heart-purification, will still resort to cleverness and trickery, still fail to establish great faith. Without a group of people with pure souls, high moral character, selflessness and egolessness, the Celestial Kingdom economic model will breed the lazy and the mindless. This is the greatest challenge the model must face and overcome.

We have been running the Celestial Kingdom economic model in practice for over ten years. Despite various problems and difficulties, it has overall been healthy and functioning well — surpassing both the market economy model and the planned economy model. Therefore, the Celestial Kingdom economic model is where humanity's future hope lies — and it is the most reliable guarantee for humanity's survival in the age of strong artificial intelligence.
