Jesus the God and Satan the Demon [Friendly Version]¶
This version is for first-time readers. It introduces this topic in plain, accessible language.
So Who Made Jesus and Satan?¶
Many people assume that Jesus is God, and that Satan is God's opposite — a kind of cosmic rival. Lifechanyuan offers a completely different picture.
Both Jesus and Satan were created by the Greatest Creator. They are the Greatest Creator's sons — like the two poles of Taiji, the great cosmic balance: one light, one dark; one yang, one yin; inseparably unified.
"Jesus and I are twins. 'Wuji gives birth to Taiji; Taiji gives birth to the Two Primordial Forces.' Taiji is our father, the Greatest Creator; the Two Primordial Forces are Jesus and me, Satan."
(Chanyuan Corpus · Revelation · Satan's Proclamation)
Here's a family analogy: the Greatest Creator is your grandfather, Jesus is your father, and Satan is your uncle. Your grandfather loves everyone equally — but your father and uncle have completely opposite personalities. One leads you toward light; the other leads you toward darkness.
What Kind of God Is Jesus?¶
Jesus represents truth, goodness, beauty, light, ordinariness, and gentleness.
He is not the Greatest Creator himself — he is the Greatest Creator's representative. Think of an ambassador sent to deliver the head of state's message: the ambassador is not the head of state.
"Jesus is the greatest person in the history of humanity. He is the son of the Greatest Creator, the Greatest Creator's representative, the Christ, humanity's hope, the gate of LIFE… We can never praise Jesus too much — but we must never say that Jesus is the Greatest Creator."
(Xuefeng Corpus · Essays · Jesus Is Not the Greatest Creator)
Jesus's gift to humanity is spiritual nourishment: spirit, thought, belief, morality, and spirituality. He guides people toward heaven, toward the higher spaces of LIFE.
What Kind of Demon Is Satan?¶
Satan represents falsehood, evil, ugliness, darkness, extraordinariness, and strength.
That sounds bad — but Lifechanyuan offers a perspective that might surprise you: Satan has an indispensable cosmic function.
"My name is Satan. I am the beloved son of the Greatest Creator and his faithful servant. My duty is to maintain the dynamic balance of cosmic LIFE…"
(Chanyuan Corpus · Revelation · Satan's Proclamation)
Imagine a large boat: if all the passengers crowd to one side, the boat capsizes. The cosmos works the same way. If heaven filled up completely, hell would vanish — and the balance of the universe would collapse. Satan's duty is to draw half of humanity toward hell, keeping the cosmic "left and right sides" in balance.
"From a microscopic view I, Satan, am evil. But from a macroscopic view I, Satan, am good."
(Chanyuan Corpus · Revelation · Satan's Proclamation)
What Does Satan Use to Tempt You?¶
Satan's "food" for humanity is material: money, status, fame, groups, nation-states.
Lifechanyuan also names five pathways through which Satan "enslaves" humanity: the nation-state, the family, religion, politics, and romantic love.
These aren't evil in themselves — but when they come to dominate your life and determine your direction, you have been "abducted." Not physically, but spiritually and directionally.
A Startling Revelation: The "God" of the Old Testament Is Satan¶
This is one of Lifechanyuan's most striking claims. The "God" of the Old Testament — the one who gets angry, destroys peoples, and plays favorites with Israel — is not the true Greatest Creator. He is Satan.
The evidence comes from the New Testament itself: Satan once said to Jesus, "All the kingdoms of the world and their splendor — all this I will give you if you will bow down and worship me" (Matthew 4:8–9). This means everything in this world belongs to Satan, not the Greatest Creator.
The "Heavenly Father" Jesus repeatedly spoke of — that invisible, impartial, compassionate cosmic source — is the real Greatest Creator.
So What Should We Do?¶
Lifechanyuan's guidance is clear and direct:
Walk the Greatest Creator's way, not the way of gods.
"542. Walk the way of the Greatest Creator, not the way of gods — because Satan is also a god."
(Eight Hundred Concepts of the New Era for Humanity, 4th edition · Concept 542)
Jesus is a god. But Satan is a god too. If you simply say "I'll walk the god's way," which god are you walking toward? So the goal is to go beyond the struggle between Jesus and Satan and orient directly toward the Greatest Creator — that is the ultimate direction of cultivation.
Of course, Jesus is our father — and the gate through which we reach the Greatest Creator. Following the path Jesus points to is the best road to heaven:
"To leave the human world and go to heaven, the best way is to walk the path Jesus points out."
