Jesus the God and Satan the Demon [Internal Reference]

This version is for deep study. It preserves the original source texts in full, arranged in logical sections.

I. Definition and Nature — Jesus is a God, Satan is a Demon; Neither Is the Greatest Creator

Jesus is the greatest person in the history of humanity. He is the son of the Greatest Creator, the Greatest Creator's representative, the Christ, humanity's hope, the gate of LIFE, the path for good, hardworking, simple, sincere, and humble people toward the way of the Greatest Creator. We can never praise Jesus too much — but we must never say that Jesus is the Greatest Creator.

(Xuefeng Corpus · Essays · Jesus Is Not the Greatest Creator)

Jesus is the Greatest Creator's representative in the human world, but Jesus is not the Greatest Creator.

(Xuefeng Corpus · Soul · On "The Trinity")

  1. Jesus Christ is not the Greatest Creator; he is a god.

(Eight Hundred Concepts of the New Era for Humanity, 4th edition · Concept 507)

My name is Satan. I am the beloved son of the Greatest Creator and his faithful servant. My duty is to maintain the dynamic balance of cosmic LIFE and to safeguard the perfect harmony and unity of the universe my father created.

(Chanyuan Corpus · Revelation · Satan's Proclamation)

II. Jesus and Satan Are the Cosmic "Two Primordial Forces" — Polar Opposites in Unity

Jesus and I are twins. "Wuji gives birth to Taiji; Taiji gives birth to the Two Primordial Forces." Taiji is our father, the Greatest Creator; the Two Primordial Forces are Jesus and me, Satan.

Jesus and I form the polar opposition and unity of the universe. We have opposite personalities, repel each other, yet coexist within one unified whole: without me there is no Jesus; without Jesus there is no me. Jesus represents light, justice, life, and yang; I represent darkness, evil, death, and yin. Jesus represents truth, goodness, and beauty; I represent falsehood, evil, and ugliness. We are matched opponents — neither good entirely conquers evil nor evil entirely conquers good — yet we are utterly inseparable.

(Chanyuan Corpus · Revelation · Satan's Proclamation)

Jesus and Satan are the "Two Primordial Forces," forming the polar unity of life and the universe. Without Jesus there would be no Satan; without Satan there would be no Jesus.

(Chanyuan Corpus · Life Guides · Intermediate Life Guide IV)

To simplify "The Tao gives birth to the One; the One gives birth to Two; Two gives birth to Three; Three gives birth to the ten thousand things" — Laozi is saying: at the beginning of the universe there was the Tao; the Tao gave birth to the Greatest Creator; the Greatest Creator created the polar unity of Taiji, for example Jesus and Satan; Jesus and Satan, this Two, gave birth to angels; then Jesus, Satan, and the angels, this Three, created all things in the cosmos.

(Xuefeng Corpus · Q&A · Answer to "Steel" on "The Tao Gives Birth to the One")

III. Cosmic Roles — Joint Governance of the Earthly Cosmos

The small universe where Earth resides is managed by many gods (black holes). The two greatest among them are Jesus and Satan. It can be said that the earthly cosmos — encompassing three thousand spiral galaxy groups, nine million galaxies, and 27 billion solar systems — is jointly governed by Jesus and Satan.

Jesus and Satan, these two gods, are polar opposites in unity: Jesus represents truth, goodness, and beauty; Satan represents falsehood, evil, and ugliness. Jesus represents light; Satan represents darkness. Jesus represents the ordinary; Satan represents the extraordinary. Jesus represents gentleness; Satan represents strength.

(Chanyuan Corpus · Humanity · The Origin of Humanity)

In terms of emotional relationships, the Greatest Creator is our grandfather; gods such as Jesus are our fathers; demons such as Satan are our uncles; celestial beings are a higher level of LIFE that humans can reach; Buddhas are the highest level of LIFE humanity can attain.

(Chanyuan Corpus · The Greatest Creator · Eight Relations Between the Greatest Creator and Humanity — Emotional Relations)

IV. Satan's Duty — Maintaining Cosmic Symmetry and Balance

Hell must not be empty — if hell becomes empty, heaven will disappear. Drawing half of humanity toward hell is Satan's inescapable duty.

Heaven must not be empty — if heaven becomes empty, LIFE in the universe ceases to exist and the cosmos vanishes. Drawing the smaller portion of humanity toward heaven is the sacred duty of gods, Buddhas, and sages.

(Chanyuan Corpus · Life Guides · Intermediate Life Guide IV)

Satan: "How can you be so full of human sentiment? My duty is precisely to oppose Jesus and Shakyamuni. My heaven-ordained role is to maintain the symmetric balance of LIFE across all cosmic spaces. If too many people enter Lifechanyuan, who will go to hell? Who will replace the shrinking animal kingdom? 'Great virtue appears unvirtuous; great benevolence appears cruel' — of course I must do everything to undermine Lifechanyuan's construction, to lure away its members by every means. Without doing this, I would not be Satan."

(Xuefeng Corpus · Soul · Xuefeng's Dialogue with Satan)

From a microscopic view I, Satan, am evil. But from a macroscopic view I, Satan, am good.

(Chanyuan Corpus · Revelation · Satan's Proclamation)

Why does the Greatest Creator give angels and humanity a measure of free will? Why not simply eliminate Satan? Because without Satan, without free will, angels and humans would become robots — and the Greatest Creator himself would grow bored. All joy would vanish.

(Xuefeng Corpus · Soul · The Sorrow of Writing, Directing, and Acting)

V. How Satan Enslaves Humanity

It is Satan. The nation-state, the family, religion, politics, and human romantic love are the means and effective channels through which Satan enslaves humanity.

Why does Satan enslave humanity? Because Satan wants to play games, to find enjoyment — and at the same time to maintain the dynamic balance of all cosmic life.

(Xuefeng Corpus · Wake-Up Calls · Humanity Has Been Abducted)

Satan was originally an archangel, but he desired to become the Greatest Creator — and as a result Satan became the demon.

(Xuefeng Corpus · Wake-Up Calls · Scriptwriter, Director, Actor)

The old era was an era governed by Satan — an era of endless strife among nation-states, religions, political parties, and interest groups; an era overflowing with materialism, falsehood, evil, and ugliness. This era has moved toward its end as the cosmic program of LIFE adjusts. The Lifechanyuan era has quietly arrived.

(Chanyuan Corpus · Civilization · Four Grand Visions for Lifechanyuan's Future Development)

VI. A Crucial Revelation — The "God" of the Old Testament Is Satan

The New Testament's Gospel of Matthew provides the key passage:

Matthew 4:8–9: "Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 'All this I will give you,' he said, 'if you will bow down and worship me.'"

This reveals that everything in the world belongs to Satan — everything was created and made by Satan. Returning to read the "Creation" narrative of the Old Testament in light of this — is it not now completely clear? Does this not plainly and unmistakably tell us that the "God" of the Old Testament is Satan?

Then who is the "Heavenly Father" that Jesus repeatedly taught us to seek? Without doubt, Jesus's Heavenly Father is the true Greatest Creator — the one with the eight great characteristics described in Lifechanyuan's "The Greatest Creator" chapter. Jesus came representing the true Greatest Creator to resist the "God" of the Old Testament.

(Xuefeng Corpus · Wake-Up Calls · The God of the Bible Is Satan)

Through elevating Jesus's identity people are led away from the Greatest Creator. "Since Jesus is the Greatest Creator, let us listen to Jesus" — but they listen to none of Jesus's words. Their goal is to appear to revere Jesus while actually betraying him — to lead people along Satan's path.

(Xuefeng Corpus · Essays · Jesus Is Not the Greatest Creator)

VII. Walk the Way of the Greatest Creator, Not the Way of Gods

  1. Walk the way of the Greatest Creator, not the way of gods — because Satan is also a god.

(Eight Hundred Concepts of the New Era for Humanity, 4th edition · Concept 542)

To revere the Greatest Creator, the most essential step is to follow Jesus. Jesus is the Greatest Creator's representative, spokesperson, and "son" — the one who descended to humanity not for his own glory, but to spread the Greatest Creator's good news. If we sense with our hearts, we will know that Jesus is a kind, honest, approachable, trustworthy person. What he said is truth; he is the gate to higher spaces of LIFE. By following Jesus we can attain long-lasting life and peace.

(Chanyuan Corpus · Cultivation · Intermediate Cultivation)

To walk the Greatest Creator's way, we must separate the Greatest Creator from gods. The Greatest Creator is the Greatest Creator; gods are gods — they cannot be conflated. The Greatest Creator is one; gods are many. Jesus is a god. Yet he explicitly taught us to carry out the will of the Heavenly Father (the Greatest Creator). Therefore, walking the Greatest Creator's way is entirely consistent with Jesus's teachings and intentions.

(Xuefeng Corpus · Soul · How to Walk the Way of the Greatest Creator?)

VIII. Jesus Nourishes the Spirit; Satan Nourishes the Material

The "food" Jesus gives humanity is antimatter: spirituality, spirit, thought, belief, and morality.

The "food" Satan gives humanity is matter: money, status, fame and profit, groups, and nation-states.

Jesus and Satan are the "Two Primordial Forces," forming the polar unity of life and the universe. Without Jesus there would be no Satan; without Satan there would be no Jesus.

To leave the human world and go to heaven, the best way is to walk the path Jesus points out.
