The Fivefold Equation: Structural Analysis¶

In multiple writings, Xuefeng established the core equation for Elysian Bliss:

Elysian Bliss = Peak Experience = Buddha-Realm = Zero-State = No-Form = Self-Coherence

This is not simple synonymy, but a precise description of the same life-state from five distinct analytical dimensions:

The fivefold equation demonstrates that Elysian Bliss is not religious fantasy, but a real life-state — psychologically verifiable and practically attainable through cultivation.

No-Form Thinking: The Cognitive Path to Elysian Bliss¶

In The Wonder of Zero — No-Form Thinking, Xuefeng reveals that the essence of Elysian Bliss is the formless realm (无相境界), and the cognitive path leading there is No-Form Thinking (无相思维).

No-Form means: - Not clinging to any fixed concept, image, or ideology - Letting consciousness remain luminously clear and present in its movement - "Non-clinging, non-grasping — free as the wind"

Cultivation pathways toward No-Form include:

The Diamond Sutra as practice: The sutra's core is deconstruction of form — "All that has form is illusory; when you see that all forms are not-form, you see the Tathagata." This sutra is the classic training text for No-Form Thinking. Regular practice gradually dissolves attachment and guides consciousness toward the Zero-State.
Sitting meditation: Through the dual practice of stillness and observation (止观), thinking rises from material to imagery to heart-image to formless — advancing by levels until the formless realm is reached and Elysian Bliss experienced within it.
"Spiritual Clarity" (空灵秀) in the Eight Mysteries of Life: Xuefeng identifies spiritual clarity as one of the Eight Mysteries of Human Life, and locates Elysian Bliss precisely there — "A state of unconscious awareness, union with the Tao, heaven and humanity in resonance — this is spiritual clarity; Elysian Bliss dwells within it."

Self-Coherence: The Life Mechanism of Eternal Bliss¶

Self-Coherence is the permanent form of Elysian Bliss; its life mechanism works as follows:

Self-Coherence (自洽) means a life possesses complete yin-yang wholeness within itself — without needing to draw energy from external sources to achieve inner balance — like the Taiji symbol where yin and yang revolve in self-sufficient harmony.

The four conditions for Self-Coherence (layered analysis):

No weeds in the Soul Garden (consciousness layer)
Clear away greed, jealousy, arrogance, laziness, and other negative states
Impure consciousness is the root cause of yin-yang disharmony
Repay karmic debts (karmic layer)
Through giving, service, forgiveness, and repentance, clear old karma
Freedom from hindrance requires being free of all unpaid debts
Accumulate heavenly merit (action layer)
Build merit through dedication and service; acquire the resources for "upward movement"
Merit is the energy reserve enabling LIFE to leap toward higher dimensions
Consciousness enters the celestial-Buddha state (existential layer)
Bone-deep transformation: the LIFE consciousness completes its leap from "human" to "celestial"
At this stage, Self-Coherence is no longer a cultivation goal but the natural state of LIFE

Two Forms of Elysian Bliss¶

Momentary Experience (Flash Mode)¶

Like a sudden burst of Buddha-light, accessed through: - Immersion in vast nature: facing the boundless cosmos with an unhindered mind, the self momentarily dissolves - Reaching the fourth or fifth level of meditation: entering a state of complete return-to-zero - Deep fusion with music: forgetting the self entirely within beautiful sound

This experience is real but brief — because the life has not yet completed inner Self-Coherence. "After the Buddha-light flashes, ordinary consciousness returns."

Permanent Dwelling (Sustained Mode)¶

When all four conditions of Self-Coherence are complete, Elysian Bliss becomes the ground of LIFE — no longer an occasional peak, but a continuous stable frequency.

Self-Assessment of Cultivation Achievements lists "frequently experiencing Elysian Bliss" as a cultivation result for the Elysium World, indicating that at this stage, Elysian Bliss is not a momentary flash but a stable life frequency.

Connection to the Elysium World¶

The name "Elysian Bliss" (极乐妙境) directly echoes the Elysium World (极乐界) — the high-dimensional space in the cosmic architecture where super celestial beings and Buddhas dwell.

Their relationship: - Frequently experiencing Elysian Bliss during cultivation is a sign of resonance with the Elysium World - When a LIFE can permanently dwell in Elysian Bliss, its antimatter structure has already acquired the life-form of the Elysium World - The Elysium World is not merely a place but a level of consciousness vibration frequency

From this angle, Elysian Bliss is both the ultimate fruit of cultivation and a conscious rehearsal of LIFE's destination.
