Lifechanyuan's View on Money (Internal Reference)¶
I. Distinguishing Money, Currency, and Wealth¶
Money is the symbol of wealth; Lifechanyuan needs wealth — material wealth, mental wealth, and spiritual wealth.
However, when money becomes currency, it is nothing more than a symbol, a medium, a contract within the sphere of exchange and circulation — just like a marriage certificate, an identity card, or a legal agreement. If people recognize it, it represents wealth; if people no longer recognize it, it is just a piece of paper. Currency represents wealth, but currency itself is not wealth. When currency can no longer represent wealth, it is worth less than toilet paper — just like Zimbabwe's currency in 2009, where a hundred-dollar bill could not buy a single sheet.
(Xuefeng Corpus · Chanyuan Chapter · Lifechanyuan's View on Money)
What money can buy is not precious; what money cannot buy is precious.
(New Era Concepts for Humanity, 4th Edition, Concept 20)
In life, one should pursue three forms of wealth: spiritual wealth, mental wealth, and material wealth. Spiritual wealth must come first, mental wealth second, and material wealth last. All three are indispensable — lacking any one of them, life cannot be complete.
(New Era Concepts for Humanity, 4th Edition, Concept 27)
II. The Core Practice: Progressively Eliminating Currency¶
Lifechanyuan's view on money is: progressively do away with currency. Resident Chanyuan Celestials do not handle currency. We basically achieved this ten years ago. Within the homestead, only one Chanyuan Celestial is responsible for keeping the currency; purchasing personnel use it; other Chanyuan Celestials have essentially no contact with currency. As a result, there are no longer any financial transactions among Chanyuan Celestials. When there is no financial interest binding people together, getting along becomes simple, relaxed, and easy — extraordinarily harmonious and pleasant. Over ten years, Chanyuan Celestials have lived together like one family, like brothers and sisters, like kindred spirits. Apart from the elevation of LIFE quality, the homestead's view on money has played a major role.
(Xuefeng Corpus · Chanyuan Chapter · Lifechanyuan's View on Money)
At present, because the outside world drives all production through money and exchanges goods through currency, Lifechanyuan has no choice but to hold currency and use it to obtain needed supplies from the market. But as this mode of production and life gradually expands, currency will progressively disappear. For example, the homestead needs electricity and must pay electricity bills. But when the workers at the power station become Chanyuan Celestials — they provide electricity while others provide their food, clothing, shelter, and care for their whole lives — the electricity bill is no longer needed, and currency exchange disappears from that domain. Similarly, Chanyuan Celestials need clothes and must currently exchange currency for them; but when garment factory workers all become Chanyuan Celestials — they produce clothing while others provide everything the garment workers need — clothing no longer requires currency exchange. Extending this logic across every industry would resolve the needs of the whole society, and currency would disappear.
(Xuefeng Corpus · Chanyuan Chapter · Lifechanyuan's View on Money)
Another principle in Lifechanyuan's view on money: Chanyuan Celestials do not borrow money from others, and do not lend money to others. Chanyuan Celestials have given everything they own to the homestead; the homestead provides everything each Chanyuan Celestial needs. So if someone asks a Chanyuan Celestial to lend money — they have no money to lend. The homestead provides all their needs, and naturally they have no reason to borrow from anyone either. This outlook and practice frees everyone from a great deal of trouble and suffering — no debts, no pressure from daily life, and a very low cost of getting along with others. "Ask nothing of others, and everywhere goes smoothly!"
(Xuefeng Corpus · Chanyuan Chapter · Lifechanyuan's View on Money)
III. The Social Effect: Eliminating Corruption¶
With no currency, corrupt officials disappear too — there is nothing to embezzle and no opportunity to do so. Chanyuan Celestials living in the homestead have no chance to handle money. How could they embezzle? Even if an opportunity arose, what would they embezzle for? You cannot spend what you take — a hundred pairs of eyes are watching, and everything you need is already provided. What would you want money for? To secretly buy yourself something nice to eat or use? Impossible. If you did, your reputation would collapse instantly, and you would have no place to stand in the homestead. Moreover, Chanyuan Celestials do not give gifts to one another and cannot form cliques. In fact, trying to cultivate a close private friendship with someone is pointless — in the future there will be 256 homesteads, and within three years you will likely be transferred to a different branch, perhaps never to meet again. What use is a private bond? Better to maintain good relations with everyone.
(Xuefeng Corpus · Chanyuan Chapter · Lifechanyuan's View on Money)
Could the homestead's leaders engage in corruption, extravagance, or waste? First of all, Lifechanyuan has no officials. The highest position is the General Homestead Director, followed by Branch Directors. From a worldly perspective, that sounds like an official position — but it is not. The title exists merely to accommodate secular terminology. In substance, the General Director is the "chief servant" and the Branch Director is the "branch servant" — the ones who contribute and give the most, and who care for every Chanyuan Celestial most wholeheartedly. Can such a "leader" embezzle? Besides, the money is not in the leader's hands — a designated person handles all purchasing. The leader has no opportunity to steal even if they wanted to. This is like how no theft ever occurs in the homestead: even if you could steal something, where would you put it? Your room is not really yours; someone else cleans and organizes it regularly. Would you dare hide stolen items there? Everyone eats together, works together, and participates in activities together. What would you do with stolen goods?

IV. Programmatic Foundation: Having Nothing, Possessing Everything¶
Among those being governed: no currency between members. No marriage, no family, no private property, no official titles, no lawyers, no courts.
(Xuefeng Corpus · Notable Figures Chapter · The Highest Realm of Management Is Hundun Management — To President Hu Jintao)
"Having nothing and possessing everything" is the most ideal and most beautiful life a person can live. What does a heavenly life look like? The answer is: a life where everyone has nothing yet possesses everything — that is heavenly life. Any other way of living falls short.
Without the protection of corresponding programs, there is not the slightest possibility. If you have nothing, doesn't that make you a beggar? In a world driven by money and power, how can you survive with nothing — let alone possess everything? Those who can truly understand and experience the meaning of "having nothing, possessing everything" today are the Chanyuan Celestials living in the Second Home created by Lifechanyuan — because the Second Home is a mode of life, a program set up according to the model of a preliminary heaven.
(Xuefeng Corpus · Political Commentary Chapter · Without Programmatic Protection, Morality Is Hollow)
The eight defining features of the Second Home (New Oasis for LIFE): 1. The Way of the Greatest Creator, Hundun management; 2. Have nothing, possess everything; 3. Each gives according to ability, each takes according to need…

The "no-ownership system" is implemented: everyone has nothing yet possesses everything; each gives according to ability, each takes according to need — no extravagance, no waste.

Having nothing is the only way to possess everything.

V. Money as the Devil's Bait¶
Money, power, status, fame, and beauty are the devil's bait.
(New Era Concepts for Humanity, 4th Edition, Concept 112)
The more one possesses, the more troubles one has.
(New Era Concepts for Humanity, 4th Edition, Concept 113)
Giving and contributing is the best way to store treasures in Heaven.
(New Era Concepts for Humanity, 4th Edition, Concept 111)
In the Greatest Creator's kingdom, there is not a single person who lives without contributing. Every subject is a creator of wealth — a creator of material wealth, mental wealth, or spiritual wealth, or all three.
(Chanyuan Corpus · On the Greatest Creator · Introduction to the Kingdom of the Greatest Creator)
If I told you that in Heaven there are no nations, no religions, no political parties, no organizations or factions, no marriage, no family, no private property, no money, no official titles… would you believe it?
(Chanyuan Corpus · Antimatter World Chapter · We Are the Ones Blocking Our Own Path to Heaven)
VI. Future Direction: F-Coin Replacing Currency¶
The currency that symbolizes material wealth will disappear; the F-Coin that symbolizes mental and spiritual wealth will prevail. The amount of F-Coin a person holds reflects how much they have given and contributed to humanity. The more F-Coin one has, the more perfect their LIFE quality — and the more respect and admiration they will receive from beings above and below.
(Xuefeng Corpus · Political Commentary Chapter · A Brief Introduction to Hundun Economics)
Replace all global currencies with F-Coin; end the global financial and banking system.
(Xuefeng Corpus · Political Commentary Chapter · 18 Things Humanity Must Do to Achieve Global Harmony)
A well-functioning program requires not only that all members possess noble character and cultivation, but also an efficient, orderly, reasonable, and lawful program. In this regard, as the guide of Lifechanyuan, I am very clear and capable of handling it with ease. Why? It is simple — there is no need to rack one's brain, study history, consult others, or ponder endlessly. Simply copy the model of the Thousand-Year World in Heaven. This way, not only will every Chanyuan Celestial be able to live a joyful, happy, free, and blessed life, but ultimately, every Chanyuan Celestial will at the very least be able to enter the celestial realm — the Thousand-Year World — when they leave this world.
