I. Definition and Core

The universe is the shared home of all life. All living beings dwell within it together — this is what we mean by One World Family.

— Chanyuan Corpus · Civilization Chapter · "One World Family" (Qiankun Cao, 2009-6-7)

At its essence, One World Family means that all life shares a single common mode of existence. Heaven attains clarity through the One; Earth attains stillness through the One. This "One" is the universal mode in which all life exists — encompassing heaven and earth, standing at the very center of all creation. It is inseparable from the existence of the universe itself. The universe, as the greatest living entity, is at its core an expression of this "One." Without this "One," life could not exist at all. The universe is the home of life, sustained by this "One" — it is the source, the nurturer, and the ultimate destination, turning in endless cycles governed by the Spirit of the Greatest Creator, through which the Law is born and the Tao made manifest. This is why we speak of One World Family.

All paths return to one source; all teachings converge toward one; one world, one family; the Great Harmony — this is the keynote of the New Era.

II. The Reality: A Fragmented World

This understanding remains at the level of sentiment. To speak of "one world family" may sound wishful and grandiose. The reality is that the world is fragmented: people have radically different conceptions of home — some center it on the nuclear family formed by a couple, some on the enterprise built around a career, some on a political party or organization, some roam freely without fixed abode, some feel at home everywhere and nowhere. There is no shared sense of belonging.

— Chanyuan Corpus · Civilization Chapter · "One World Family"

The existence of family units, nation-states, political parties, and religions is the root cause of environmental pollution, the vast global wealth gap, irrational resource allocation, worldwide instability, cascading human crises, hardship for ordinary people, and the enormous waste of human and material resources.

III. The Principle of Realization: The Complete Circulation Model

From this analysis, we can see that "home" carries a deep natural character — referring to the programs of order and disorder that govern the natural environment in different worlds, representing the degree of order in which life can exist. The better a system resolves the disorder generated by living activity, the better its natural circulation is designed, the more beautiful the world becomes. The Kingdom of Heaven is precisely such a world.

— Chanyuan Corpus · Civilization Chapter · "One World Family"

Realizing One World Family necessarily rests on a controllable and manageable complete circulation model. Depart from this foundation, and One World Family will inevitably fracture into ten thousand separate families — because without this foundation, the system is unstable, the family is unstable, and fragmentation is inevitable, as all of human history confirms. No theory, however eloquently stated, can achieve One World Family without this complete circulation model. We say the universe has always been one family precisely because the universe was created according to this complete circulation model. For human society to realize One World Family, it must rebuild itself on this same model. This is what is meant by "all paths return to one source, all teachings converge."

IV. Lifechanyuan's Approach

The Guide proposes the optimal mode of human life: Lifechanyuan + secular government. Lifechanyuan, through building the Second Home, leads from the soul level, focusing on transmitting truth and resolving confusion, implementing the Hundun management model and cultivating citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven — serving as the embassy of heaven, through which residents refine the quality of their lives in practice and earn their visa to the Kingdom. The Hundun management model centers on cultivating self-awareness; no one is manager or managed — only the conscience and innate nature of life guides, through resonance and consultation. Each person understands that life holds both the right to enjoy order and the responsibility to transform disorder into order, each contributing according to ability to maintain the home's circulation.

Secular governance serves to build the complete circulation model for human society — clarifying and implementing the mechanisms that transform disorder into order, and maintaining those mechanisms in normal operation. Thus society can achieve the complete circulation mode, eliminate the disorder that arises within the system, and transform the world of suffering into a land of bliss and purity. Each person's talent finds expression; each resource finds its proper use.

The general program of the Second Home (New Oasis for Life): implement "all paths return to one source, all teachings converge," unify the world with the New Era Human 800 Concepts, and bring humanity into the Lifechanyuan Era — a world without nations, without religions, without political parties, without marriage and family, without husband-wife relationships, where "no worthy talent is left in the wilderness and all under heaven are one family," "no one picks up what others have lost on the road, and doors need not be locked at night," all things in harmony, winds and rains in season, and every person living in joy, happiness, freedom, and bliss.

— New Era Human 800 Concepts (4th ed.) · No. 627

The proper way for a person to relate to society is: "No worthy talent is left in the wilderness, and all under heaven are one family" — "No one picks up what others have lost, and doors need not be locked at night" — share blessings and bear hardships together, coordinate globally, share resources.

— New Era Human 800 Concepts (4th ed.) · No. 715

Localism and ethnic nationalism are symbols of barbarism and ignorance. No affair on Earth belongs to any single ethnic group or local interest — all affairs belong to all of humanity. The management of any locality should seek out the most civilized and excellent people from all of humanity, not select from the local population or a single ethnicity. Only when no worthy talent is left in the wilderness can all under heaven become one family, and only then can the laboring masses attain freedom and happiness.

V. The Mahayana Aspiration

The aspiration to realize One World Family is the Mahayana aspiration. Mahayana means: all under heaven as one vessel, all who share the vessel as one family. Buddhism has spoken of the Mahayana aspiration without fully spelling out its content. This essay may be said to have done so clearly. Lifechanyuan's values are built entirely on right belief — grounded in fact, logic, science, and the Greatest Creator — and can fully withstand scrutiny. Realizing One World Family is the arrangement of the Tao, the wish of the Greatest Creator, and the wish of all humanity. When heaven and humanity are one, what the heart intends comes to pass.
