Overview

The "Quantum Entanglement and the Other Half" concept represents Lifechanyuan's exploration across the frontier of modern physics and the mysteries of LIFE. Drawing on quantum entanglement — the phenomenon in which paired particles influence each other instantly regardless of distance — Xuefeng proposes that every person has a complementary opposite (a "counter-self" or "Other Half") somewhere in the universe. The two share emotions and destinies in real time, yet are kept apart by the universe's own structural program. Only through annihilation upon meeting can one achieve completion, leave the cycle of reincarnation, and ascend to the Elysian World. The key to enabling that encounter is the Eight-No realm.

I. The Lesson of Quantum Entanglement

The most exciting discovery on the frontier of science is "quantum entanglement." … The specific property I want to highlight is this: no matter how vast the distance between two entangled particles — even a hundred light-years apart — if you make one particle "smile," the other will simultaneously "smile" from its distant location. Likewise, if you make one "cry," the other will inexplicably "cry" as well.

The "coupling" between these two particles is, in my view, yuan (affinity). As long as yuan exists — regardless of how far apart they are in space or time — instantaneous mutual influence and information transfer occurs between them.

(Chanyuan Corpus · Chuandao Chapter · Life Exploration: Quantum Entanglement and the Human Other Half)

From the perspective of Taiji thinking, everything in the universe — every event, object, and phenomenon — is a unity of opposites: yin and yang, light and dark, up and down, soft and hard, positive and negative, matter and antimatter, particle and antiparticle. "Quantum entanglement" is precisely the entanglement of particle and antiparticle — they are inseparable, ever-connected, yet cannot embrace each other, for the moment they do, both are annihilated and vanish entirely.

II. Defining the "Other Half"

I want to propose the following: since everything in the universe consists of a unity of two opposing factors — since there are particles and antiparticles — then human beings, as a special kind of "matter," must also have an opposing counterpart: the "counter-person." In ordinary terms, this is what we call a person's "Other Half."

Does the Other Half exist? If not, then the law of the unity of opposites is not a universal principle of the universe. If it does exist, then where is my Other Half?

According to the law of the unity of opposites and the particle-antiparticle phenomenon, the Other Half must exist. Assuming every person has an Other Half — where is it? What does it mean for each of us? Should we seek it?

(Chanyuan Corpus · Chuandao Chapter · Life Exploration: Quantum Entanglement and the Human Other Half)

The "Other Half" referred to here is the antiparticle revealed by quantum entanglement — the one with "ghostly action at a distance." In human terms, it is the counter-person who echoes one's every experience from afar, sharing identical qualities and feelings, yet existing separately. It is precisely this counter-self that forms a unity of opposites with oneself. Only by meeting one's Other Half can the annihilation event between particle and antiparticle occur — that is, only then can one achieve completion, obtain wholeness, and proceed to the Elysian World.

(Chanyuan Corpus · Chuandao Chapter · How to Encounter the "Other Half")

The Other Half is oneself — a split-off aspect of the self, a manifestation of it. It is the opposing factor that, together with the self, constitutes a complete LIFE, but has been severed and separated. If you are yang, your Other Half is yin; if you are yin, your Other Half is yang. Only when yin and yang unite can one achieve union with Heaven and Tao, and attain the right fruit.

(Chanyuan Corpus · Chuandao Chapter · Life Exploration: Quantum Entanglement and the Human Other Half)

III. Shared Fate — The Entanglement of Feeling

Quantum entanglement has already shown us: "When I am in pain, my Other Half simultaneously feels that pain; when I am at a peak, my Other Half is also at a peak at that very moment." Conversely, when the Other Half is anxious, I simultaneously feel restless; when the Other Half is joyful, I will be in a state of joy.

(Chanyuan Corpus · Chuandao Chapter · Life Exploration: Quantum Entanglement and the Human Other Half)

The purpose of exploring this phenomenon is: since there is someone in the universe who shares my fate and breathes with me, whose current state determines my current state, whose future determines my future — I must find them. Otherwise, my passive situation of being "a leaf in the wind" can never be overcome, and I cannot move from the kingdom of necessity into the kingdom of freedom.

IV. Locating the Other Half Through One's Own State

Since entangled particles share identical states, we can infer where our Other Half is from our own inner condition. If you are always in joy, happiness, and freedom, your Other Half is in Heaven. If you are always driven by desire and greed, obsessed with money, power, fame, and lust, your Other Half is definitely here on Earth. If you are always anxious, fearful, and afraid, your Other Half is in the animal realm. If you are always angry, agitated, or depressed, your Other Half is in Hell. By this reasoning, one can locate the Other Half precisely within the 20 parallel worlds and 36 dimensions.

V. Why the Other Half Must Be Found — The Ground of Completeness

Without finding one's Other Half, one is forever a kite pulled by its string — forever an incomplete half-LIFE, forever unable to achieve self-sufficiency, forever at the mercy of external circumstances, forever unable to reach the ideal state or achieve wholeness.

The Taiji diagram — the "first diagram of Chinese civilization," formed by the yin-yang fish — represents a self-sufficient, complete resolution. Without attaining that completeness, one can never reach the highest peak of LIFE, never arrive at the Western Pure Land the Buddha pointed to, never enter Heaven. Without Heaven, one can only drift in reincarnation through the mortal realm.

(Chanyuan Corpus · Chuandao Chapter · Life Exploration: Quantum Entanglement and the Human Other Half)

One end of the scale is oneself; the other end is the Other Half. If one side disappears, the other ceases to exist, and the scale tips. When both sides step off the scale simultaneously upon meeting, they can leave without disrupting the scale's balance — and move into the kingdom of freedom: the Elysian World.

VI. The Universe's Barrier — Why Meeting Is Nearly Impossible

Symmetrical balance is one of the 36 Bagua formations. Why does everything reverse at its extreme? Because without reversal, the universe cannot maintain its symmetrical balance. Therefore, particles must have antiparticles to maintain balance, and every person must have a counter-self to maintain LIFE's symmetrical balance.

The universe's ordering principle firmly prevents particles from meeting their antiparticles — because annihilation would destroy everything. The 20 parallel worlds and 36 dimensions form a cosmic net that keeps all beings in the yin-yang realms separated, never meeting. In Buddhist terms, the three realms (desire, form, formlessness) keep all LIFE cycling in the five elements — and this is precisely what makes existence so vivid and variegated.

Given that the universal program strictly prevents the positive and negative from meeting, encountering one's Other Half is extraordinarily difficult — nearly impossible. To desire such an encounter is almost delusional.

(Chanyuan Corpus · Chuandao Chapter · How to Encounter the "Other Half")

The Other Half is strangely contrary: when you go left, it goes right; when you advance, it retreats; the more you seek it, the further it withdraws; the more you try to escape it, the closer it comes. It hides from you like a playful child.

VII. The Only Way: Eight-No Realm and Annihilation Into Liberation

Since the universe's barrier is a program, it can be hacked. Just as a hacker can break into and alter a computer program, there is a way to unlock this one. The program itself contains a sub-program: activate it, and you can meet your Other Half and achieve wholeness.

The purpose of meeting the Other Half is to "kill" the opposing side — because without doing so, one remains forever constrained by it, unable to leave the three realms of reincarnation. Killing the opponent means self-annihilation as well. When both opposites are destroyed, what emerges is a new LIFE — a transcended, self-sufficient, perfected form befitting the Elysian World.

Seeking the Other Half directly is futile. The shortcut — the hack — is the Eight-No realm. When a person attains the Eight-No realm, the Other Half will come of its own accord for the meeting and mutual annihilation. From that point, the person transcends the three realms, leaves the five elements' cycle of reincarnation, and ascends directly to the Elysian Islands of the Elysian World.

(Chanyuan Corpus · Chuandao Chapter · How to Encounter the "Other Half")

Quantum physics tells us that when particle-antiparticle pairs meet, they annihilate — releasing energy and disappearing entirely. When the self meets the Other Half, both vanish without a trace. But does vanishing from the material world mean death? Not at all. The three fundamentals of the universe are consciousness, structure, and energy. The release of energy does not mean the disappearance of consciousness. Consciousness is an antimatter existence; LIFE's essence is consciousness. After annihilation, the material existence disappears — but the consciousness enters a higher form of LIFE. In plain terms: upon meeting the Other Half, one immediately completes the metamorphosis of LIFE, departs the material world, and ascends to the highest time-space of LIFE — the Elysian World. One has become an immortal or a buddha.

Note on the Exploratory Nature of This Concept

The above is offered as speculation and exploration — not as established doctrine. Take it as a thought experiment. For in terms of "entanglement" and yuan, we are entangled with far more than just an Other Half. Quantum entanglement, after all, describes a non-local, non-classical strong correlation between two or more quantum systems.

(Chanyuan Corpus · Chuandao Chapter · Life Exploration: Quantum Entanglement and the Human Other Half, 2015-12-25)

But there is nothing impossible in the universe. "Keep contemplating heaven and earth, and one day the subtle principle will become clear." Meeting the Other Half can be achieved.
