II. Physical Form of the Ten-Thousand-Year World

(i) Location and Scale

The heavenly Ten-Thousand-Year World. 3,480 light-years from Earth in distant space, there is a beautiful planet, sixteen times larger than Earth, with sixteen equidistant suns. Approximately one hundred million celestials live there. Their essential characteristics are similar to those of the terrestrial immortals described in Daoism. III. The Staged Progression of Abilities

(i) The Phased Development of Flight

Celestials who first arrive in the Ten-Thousand-Year World have no ability to fly at all; they must walk on the ground. Only after approximately ten thousand years of cultivation can they hover three feet above the ground; after twenty thousand years of cultivation they can fly over high mountain ranges; and to fly at eighty thousand meters, three full decades of cultivation — thirty thousand years — are required.

Wangtian Cliff is the most famous scenic spot in the Ten-Thousand-Year World. In the Thousand-Year World, sexual cultivation is accomplished primarily through physical contact between the two sexes, merging into one… In the Ten-Thousand-Year World, physical contact between the sexes has ended; instead it is accomplished through the art and imagination of sexuality — it is an ascent from the bodily pleasure of the senses to the pleasure of spirit and mind. That is to say, the vibrational frequency of LIFE has risen: merely thinking of or seeing the object of one's love immediately brings stillness to the heart-mind, a continuous gentle bliss, a doubling of energy, and a radiant, luminous brilliance of love.
